@Kasi I can see what you mean. Is there a preference as to how you set them up whether they only fit the clasp or the chain.
I really wish I could try these on first lol
-
As far as the length goes, try a shoelace tied at different lengths to see what you are comfortable with.
As @Kasi said it will be a clasp piece but I wore mine that way for years and it was great. Might be worth calling or emailing your retailer for pics of combos so you see what you’re buying. -
Thank you Kasi.
So if I wanted two pendant’s: the Rosetta key and the St Christopher, I couldn’t wear them at the same time on the “A” chain?
What about he length. Is 21” a good length to start with. Does the link above look like 21” to you?
-
@Brandrea Or you could just go for the new AA—everything will fit. I think 24” is a good length if you plan to wear pendants; otherwise, 21” in A works well without pendants.
-
@Brandrea also have to recommend the string trick that @Anesthetist mentioned. A 18” is a choker on me, 21” hangs below my collar bones, 24” above the sternum and can be removed over the head.
It’s up to you on how to wear it. Go to a local jewelry store and just try on chains to get a feel for what works. The string can be done from home.

Thanks fellas, that’s exactly why I came here. 24” sounds like the correct length then.
Am I understanding the “thickness correctly? Is the “A” sort of a good all rounder?
@Brandrea I’ve had both A and AA. I think it’s a great size overall, but I was annoyed that I needed to wear a pendant just to add another pendant—it started to feel a bit too busy for my taste. That said, AA is still my favorite.

I assume you mean the clasp is like a pendant alone? I see what you mean.
Maybe I’ll just start with the necklace and skip the pendant, to start with.
Thanks for all the help guys.

@Brandrea Nice! Good luck and enjoy
I’m sure this won’t be your last piece

I can’t pass over a 24“ over my head

-
@Brandrea i just upgraded from a 21” ball chain necklace to a 21” AA curb. It has the new hoop that can fit most pendants onto the chain itself (though not the one I’m gonna put on it). I really dig it. It like, the chain is def a presence, but not necessarily the star of the show. It allows the pendant to take center stage while still having some back up pizzaz. Like Jordan (pendant) and Pippen (AA curb)
The A curb is much more of a forward presence. Badass looking no doubt. But more bold. It would compete for the spotlight with that pendant. Maybe like Kobe coming up against Jordan in the 2003 all star game.
I too went through the 21” vs 24” decision. I went 21” as it’s a more classic length. 24” is rad too, but I felt looks best when stacked with a shorter length chain.
-
The other option to a shoelace is to buy 10' of ball chain and connectors. Chop it to the lengths you want and give it a try. It's much more representative than fabric with how it lays and drapes.
This may be a me thing, but one reason I love the curb chain clasp is to secure a pendant in one place. It never slides or jangles no matter what.
