Jewelry - Silver/Gold/Pendants/Rings/Bracelets
-
About four and a half years ago, I had surgery to reattach my quad tendon to my knee after a catastrophic rupture. I forgot to remove my bracelet beforehand, and when they were prepping me for surgery, they did not have a screwdriver small enough to remove it. They told me they would have to cut it off. I said there was no way that was happening, so they ended up wrapping tape around it.
What I did not realize at the time is that metal jewelry can be a problem during surgery. They use electric tools to control bleeding, and the current is supposed to flow safely through your body to a grounding pad. Oh well, who knew? obviously not the dumb Home Builder/GC
I have not removed this bracelet well over five years…

@Kasi ty
debating this ring or the Courts & Hackett Reptilian ring -
@Anesthetist had to look that one up. Reptile ring looks pretty sick!

They got some cool stuff
kingbabystudio -
@Kasi my wife likes their pieces. I visited their retail spot in Nashville and a lot of their stuff is cool but IMO they arent at the GAH level. Case in point, their money clips are just medallions welded onto a generic clip. Just felt a little underwhelmed.

@goosehd def looks like an index or pointer ring, that sucker is thick! I like the BWL piece. I had a little collection back in the day before selling it off for GoodArt. I think we still have one of his nature pendants that I gave to Dar years ago.

@Anesthetist old king baby studio was pretty good.

Regarding Courts & Hackett, I have had the Keith’s skull ring in my cart, many, many times…I need to just buy the damn thing. I have wanted it for years and kept putting it off. Seeing @ARNC ring with the blue sapphire’s has put me on the verge of buying one for a while now.

@goosehd mine is from Stephen Einhorn (as I think you know but this will save others having to trawl the forum). I have no experience of Courts & Hackett, but SE are definitely approaching things from a different angle to say TGF. A bit more of a classic/fine jewellery approach rather than naked rock’n’roll but they definitely have a thing for skulls. SE do a lot of film work too, so it’s possible you’ve seen their work on screen without knowing it.
