      It’s a cool ring. Wish I hadn’t seen it.

I thought that too. But years later, when I finally committed, it's perfect, different, can take a knocking and often gets comments/questions.

Cool brand history and creds. Their serpent bracelet in the V&A is pretty elaborate too.

I’m not British, but for me it’s the design aesthetic and the craftsmanship. The craftsmanship is hard to understand until you get it in hand, but the quality of work is unbeatable.

The design is also very well thought through. Think of it like the difference between a Porsche and a BMW. Both are quality. Both perform the function. However, there is just something about the Porsche that is globally acknowledged as beautiful.

GAH is like the Porsche of the jewelry world.

Is a Koenigsegg more technically impressive? Sure. Is a Honda more reasonable? Absolutely.
Is a BMW better value for the money? Undoubtedly. But I don’t care. My heart still wants the Porsche, and there are certain times when I let my wallet follow my heart. Same goes for Good Art.

I buy it because it makes me happy.

The above comment should be read with all the levity your current metal state will allow.

@Bridger This is just a quick thought on top of my head so probably doesn't sound the most structured.

Never heard of Courts so I won't comment on that.

IMHO I don't feel much depth in Crazy Pig's design, Great wax moulds but in terms of all the designs it doesn't feel like a cohesive "brand" that tells a story or represent a community, it almost just feels like they are making what evers they feel like on their mind at the time, and I feel like there's better options in the market, it's like"yet another skull ring" , the elements they use it just feels very traditionally "gothic" its almost predictable and boring.

TGF has some really cool pieces and compared to crazy pig it certainly feels more original or like a brand. But speaking of the design aspect, I feel like some pieces are very lazy, and some elements can be fine tuned. For me its like, If I knew a brand like Goodart exists that simply makes better stuff, let say a chain with original and cool clasp/closure, why would I choose TGF? Yes there's prices differences for the same thing but I do think this is when the product itself is actually worth the mark up. P.S now the TGF is charging £3k for a 9kt gold bracelet that is just rediculous lol.

GoodArt prices since the Jan 2026 increase makes the brand less appealing/harder to get into for sure, but for people that got into it earlier (2015 or earlier), they were way more reasonably priced and were making great stuff (still are), there's simply not an alternative to GoodArt in terms of the products they put out.

Thanks for your post @Go-For-Chill that all makes sense.

The reason I suggested it was a question for the Brits was really to understand if they are aware of these other jewellery makers, whether they have their stuff as well as GAH or if they pass them over for GAH and if so, then why?

PS I'd take a Ferrari over the Porsche 😉

Thanks for your post @kaacy1721 - I found this comment very interesting - I think that is a good point if you want to pick up more than one piece

It would have to be at least 20 years old, or it wouldn't be a real car.....

@NickD I think there are options to be had. This Spanish villa is only $41M, so that leaves $10M to buy a daily driver and the staff to drive you around.

I actually enjoyed Tron: Ares, didn’t hate Jared Leto. I will admit I think the sound track helped take it to a barely passing score.
You just have to put it into perspective with other movies. I like to use a scale from Battlefield Earth to The Godfather. 😂

Agreed. I was certain Jared Leto would ruin it but he was ok. At first I thought the score was a bit intense but then I realized it was meant for imax. I bet that was something.
