RE:LOVE - Repurposed — Iron Heart, Reimagined

@Lynne This is such a cool idea. Bottom for me!
-
@Lynne you’re amazing Lynne

-
Would love to see a tool roll
️
-
@labrat this is an awesome idea!
-
Tool rolls are a great idea @labrat !
-
@worn2fade @motojobobo thank you boys

Here’s another mockup …

Another option, instead of string…. a good art snap or two

One last one… a flannel lining for extra strength would be a great addition and fits the over-engineered principal of IronHeart.

@Lynne please let me know if you need a
to test it out
, money in my hand

@labrat I do love a tool roll, but we rarely have enough Relove fabric in that’s big enough to make them.
What would be the minimum dimensions that would work for you?
And what would you pay for one?If a smaller size works, then this may be possible.
They can also be used to store/carry watches -
I’ve got some small pieces of soft leather for lining.I’ve also looked at patchworking to make larger pieces but they would need lining (I don’t get much shirt fabric) and the seams are bulky.
Let’s drill this down.
Let’s get to a size that works for all and what you’d put in it - and I’ll make a sample! -
@Lynne I completely understand, and thank you for even considering this! I'll message you with details

️Personally, I'd have two uses for this, a bike tool roll and as a barber tool roll to store my shaving tools.
-
I would snap up a denim watch roll!
-
Around 25x45cm? A few thoughts… I'd love to see two wider/deeper pockets for larger items (around 9cm), with the rest varying between 3–5cm. Curious what others think! Just my two cents—ultimately, it'd be great to settle on something that works for everyone and covers a range of uses

This is what Haraki made in 2019.

From the Iron Heart Boss Talk.
Tool set in an IH made roll-up case. Stamped serial number 1/21 to 21/21 and with flannel inside. -
@Lynne , my only concern with the shorter flap is that items could get banged up when they’re rolled and stacked on top of each other.
-
The small flap version would work fine for tools where rubbing wear is irrelevant.

that would save some material to just have a smaller flap cover
