The inspiration for the first Iron Heart flannel?
-
@jfk1117 beautiful! Wasn't that part of a trio at one point? I seem to remember a green and a black. Both of which are in my closet I think
-
Upon reflection, I think I'm thinking of the 117. One of the pros here can confirm
-
107 is similar, and had red, black, and green variants @StarsSuck . Also a classic.
-
@sabergirl that's it. I was close. Of my entire collection of new flannels, this oldie is my wife's fav:

-
I love the 11, too. Your wife has good taste, @StarsSuck . I’ve got the green and red color ways of that one, but not the blue (yet).
-
@sabergirl I should start hunting for these older museum pieces - I'd love to have the other color ways and there's a few others that have become grail hunts. Even some newer ones are on that list, like that burgundy and cream buffalo check that I missed. I kick myself.
-
@Tago-Mago now that has a good ring to it
-
@sabergirl MalibuBoy? Of the set that’s the one I want the most. What a beauty!
-
I think the pic was Corporal Clegg’s. But yeah, the gray is amazing! Wish mine weren’t a little snug—but I will never let er go @Anesthetist
-
@sabergirl I know how you feel

With all the new 9 oz flannels dropping, what was the initial OG 9 oz’er?

You do this:
https://forum.ironheart.co.uk/topic/18109/how-to-find-most-products-that-we-have-ever-released

But back then, people were not as obsessed with ounces as they are now, so we didn't really bother talking about it.
-
@Giles if I recall, it was more about the descriptors like shaggy or big check or metallic
-
Yeah, and I got myself all screwed up with naming too. What was to become UHF, was originally known as "Heavy Flannel", and then "Super Heavy", and then for a period we had an "Extra Heavy" that was not as heavy as what was to become UHF, so when we released and even heavier flannel, I had to think of something that was heavier than "Extra" or "Super', hence 'Ultra'.
The reason that the IHSH-01 is described as UHF, is that thread was created years after we actually released the shirt, and by then UHF was a thing.......
