@Kasi not really needed as the shoes can be rebuilt with new heels and soles when needed. If you go through either relatively quickly, then you can add them to slow that process down.

@Kasi I had some heel plates on a pair of Guardian boots a few years ago . Being an urban cowboy, means walking a lot on Brussels cobbles and blue stones ; it was extremely annoying.

Thank you! I thought December was gonna kill them as It was so rainy. Yet to put any conditioner on them, just wiping them down with a damp rag and brushing the hell out of them.

@Denimhead-0 I’m not sure since I took an 11 in chukka and 10 in Mr Lou. The chukka s were comfortable from day one with zero break in other than the roll of quarters in the arch.

I have something weird with my CXL mister Lou.
The left mid sole is a bit twisted.
Hard to see on pictures but when I put them on a flat surface the right boot stand evenly but with the left boot when the heel is flat the front half sole touch only on the left/ outside point while the right/ inside is still at 2mm from the table, so the boot rock a little bit.
Anybody have experienced that?

@Pinkpan This isn't uncommon at all, i remember questioning it with Wesco a few years back and was reassured that its pretty normal (Chris Warren even showed me a few pairs in his show room that were like it) and would even themselves out with a little bit of wear

The Ship John collab showed up earlier this week. Really cool boot. I’m always a little surprised, or maybe not surprised, at how good his collabs feel in an 11.5 D true to size compared to some other makeups I’ve tried. I think it comes down more to the leather choice than the collaborator.

The amount of Wesco engineer boots got a little out of hand and I just could not wear them, nor did they really fit into what I like to wear most. So I narrowed it down to two leathers that actually make sense for my lifestyle and what I enjoy wearing. I guess sometimes you feel like you have to try them just to figure out what you are really going to wear and like the most.
