Dang! I picked up my XHSib 666 today! What a beastly pair of denim!
I feel bullet proof and excited as I can be! Such a cool pair of jeans!

After two years of waiting, now the fading journey begins

My order is scheduled to deliver tomorrow. We'll see with the weather. I'll call them mine when/if they fit. It's going to be close.

@Tago-Mago i did. put it in the closet, no plans of breaking it in (yet). rotation needs some serious reconsideration beforehand.

@tody I feel you. My 666-SBG aren’t getting the attention they deserve, and I have justified the 888N to myself by designating them my spring/summer pair. And if the UHR comes anytime soon they will probably be my autumn/winter 2029 pair the way things are going…

And my concerns were realized as my ib were weather delayed till tomorrow. Of course tomorrow I have routes all day so I'll probably end up getting them Friday at the UPS store. Unless the UPS truck has a gps

It's a toss up for me. This cut is awesome for sure. I can "easily" get 2 fingers inside the waist band. I'd soak in them in cold-ish water to limit waist shrink. What say you?!

It looks good to me and they will look better after the soak. You will not loose ad much in the waist so go for it. Even if you do it will come right back

@Goz I would call it, in between warm and hot soak.

I have the 634's. I put them in the bath tub for about 45 minutes on full hot water. No idea of the temperature but too hot to the hand for sure. Then I flip them inside out and put them in the washer hot cycle again No idea of the temperature and also a light spin cycle. End result lost about 0.5 of an inch in the waist, about an inch in inseam and a bit tighter at the thigh. After about 2 hours of wear they fit perfectly. My opinion is get the shrinkage out of the way instead of procrastinating.

@yannis Wow after all that they only shrunk .5 in the waist? How about the the front and back rise did you notice any shrinkage?

I can barely tell the difference in the rise. I didn't measure before and after but wearing them I cannot tell the difference. I dont think they shrink as much as people think. I have several HXS and all behave similarly. Now put them in the dryer and its a diffent ball game. Not that I recommend it.
