@Tago-Mago they go down surprisingly well. One doesn’t even know you have had a drink until you fall off the 10 foot step ladder. 😂

@goosehd hope it stays that way! Sounds like a drinkable version of After Eights.

@ARNC that may be the most accurate description that I’ve seen. Quite enjoyable but with a sneaky bite. 🙂

Some good sips last night. The Luneta was amazing peppery and vegetal.

Long ago now, I was riding a chair lift with a couple of strangers that were passing a flask. I asked what it was and they have it to me. Turns out it was a fifty fifty mix of creme de menthe and peppermint schnapps that they later told me was called snow snake repellent. It was a fun experience but I've never had that again.

                  That's likely a good thing...

@scooter I’ve never tried any of those, but have heard nothing but great things about all of them. Especially the 12 yr. For my personal tastes, the sweet spot for bourbon, tends to be 7-10 years old. After that they can be a bit too oakie/oaky for my taste. Having said that, The Elijah Craig 18 is one of my all time favorites. I felt that the Knob Creek 14 was a bit too oaky for me. How would you rate these on their oakiness level?

If you can handle EC18, you can certainly handle KC12. It's a far less pricey pour, as well. Honestly, the KC12 is #2 of my "always on hand" Bourbons.

As far as oak goes, I brought a bottle of the new Jack Daniels Heritage Toasted to a friend's place for Thanksgiving. It's a lovely pour. But, it's definitely oak heavy. Personally, I find the oak influence of the KC18 and KC21 less offensive. If memory serves, you are a fan of Woodford Double Oaked. I have the same opinion of that comparison, too...
