Well shirt just arrived and its another beauty. Happy with the fit. Usually im somewhere between M and L in Ih (this is large).

@ugogreevy I know it's different with every item, and even every production run... but I tend to go for the larger size when I have the choice with IH, this looks great on you. I got a large too.

I find this one is running slightly smaller than my other UHFs, glad I sized up

I sized up to a XL (I have the Watermelon in L).

I tried the L in brown, but it was way too tight around the chest and too short.

The XL feels a little roomy , but it should fit better once it’s been washed right

@SashaDBZ you’ll be fine I think. If you want it to shrink just a bit start with a warm wash then hang dry. I wouldn’t start with a hot wash first though.

Sized up to Medium for my first western. Length, shoulders and chest all good but sleeves maybe a bit long and not sure about how much material there is bunching? Risk a 40 degree wash to try and settle it down maybe? The Small will almost certainly be too narrow in shoulders and chest. Such a great colourway, shame to have to return it.

@Jam_Shar warm wash/hang dry will pull all that in. I think it will end up spot on.

Just received mine in the mail. Beautiful colorway - not too loud. This is my first heavy flannel - what is the general census on the first wash? Should I wash it before wearing, or wear it first and only wash once they start to get dirty or smelly?

@IronLungs wear as long as you can before washing.

There is no consensus, people do all manner of things. I wash my UHF's regularly, others don't. There is no need to wash a UHF before you wear it, and s sensible person would wash it when it got dirty or smelly.
