@WhiskeySandwich might be able to fix it with a puddle of paint (spray it on cardboard until it pools) and use a small artist’s paintbrush to touch up the spots.
Looks great!!
-
@goosehd thanks! That’s exactly what I did with some of the spray paint that was left. Will have to lightly sand it but looks good from a few feet away

-
@WhiskeySandwich The clear coat will hide a few sins as well…I was just looking and see that there are candy clears you can buy (rattle can). Going to put a colour over it?
-
@goosehd I wasn’t planning on it but it but now I’m considering it!
-
@WhiskeySandwich love it! Excellent job
-
@WhiskeySandwich Looks awesome

@WhiskeySandwich Rode hard, put away wet

@goosehd decided to add another layer before clearcoat. Going with a black tint candy. The silver is too bright for me and the contrast is a little much. I think adding some black candy will tone it down but add depth. Guess i gotta wait for snail mail again...
-
@WhiskeySandwich Excited to see how this turns out…
-
Well that didn’t go at all how I envisioned. The “black” candy was more like a midnight blue and almost negated my entire tape masking job. It only barely shows up with a flash or sunlight. Def needs a wet sand with so many layers now. No solution but to add more paint though!

-
@WhiskeySandwich looks pretty damn good to me! Sleep on it and take it out in the sun tomorrow.
-
I’ll give it a try, it’ll def be sparkly as hell but it’s just… plain. I may give it a wet sand and re-tape for a shot of pearl over top before clearing

-
Wet sanded, cuz it was fucked. Some how I ended up with faded denim paint, huh

-
@WhiskeySandwich just needs a red W
