I just got a trucker wallet from them. The Gibson, they call it. I like it but I'm not blown away by the leather. It's fine, but feels a bit over finished...almost plastic. To be clear, it isn't plastic, it's clearly a top grain leather. But it's stiff and exceedingly smooth which gives it a plastic like feel. I'm sure it will break in nicely and the hardware on it is top notch. Time will tell.

@edgarallanpoe congrats man! I had mine since January and I love it. It was my first ever “big, tall” wallet with a chain. But iv grown to love it. And can’t see myself with a different one now.

It does change quite a bit. I remember having some similar thoughts in the beginning. But I just let it be and gave it a chance. If softens up, molds, shapes, change a ton of color and patina very nicely.

So if you give it a chance, you’ll probably end up loving it too

They random released it today a limited few in store only. And “soon” when the rest arrives they will be added online. So when “soon” is, nobody knows. Sometimes it’s within the same week, sometimes it’s several weeks away‍️

Hoping it’s not too far away! and hoping it’s not super limited and absolutely impossible to buy

@Mister_Brue silver is so beautiful for sure! But it’s significantly more expensive, and all my other accessories is from brass, so I’m keeping the theme

I asked Mike if the smaller split ring that’s included could be a connector to the already existing brass chain on the Gibson. If you could exchange the smaller permanent ring that’s connects to the old fish hook. And he said it should be possible.
I was worried it had to bend so much it gets damaged in the process when connecting to the actual chain.
I know he cant be certain if he hasn’t tried. But I would be glad if it’s possible

My Gibson wallet has just arrived! - so of course now I have my eye on the new EZ slider…..but then again, i know what it’s like trying to buy stuff off their site, so I don’t have high hopes

@mecken88 I have a brass belt buddy so as much as i LOVE brass im conflicted to get the silver so i have some variety. Legit torn which to get but maybe my decision will be much easier when i see the difference in price lol

@Gianny-Boy read somewhere that local people in Portland had tha chance on both options available in store, in a very low limited amount. Before the rest came to go up the site. Like a local tease before it was released “for real”

I think the brass was in the $200 range and the silver in $600.

Don’t quote me on that. But wouldn’t surprise me. Because the regular EZ slider in silver on GAH website is $625.

I love silver too, someday I wanna own the model 10 bracelet. But for the EZ slider I love the brass more. Just because my set up is all brass. Brass belt, brass key clips, brass chain to my Gibson. So naturally I feel the brass complement better for that. If I would have a silver wallet chain I would easily choose silver EZ slider (IF I had the money for it haha)

@mecken88 thanks for the info! Makes total sense seems about right, i remember looking at one of their watchamacall its...key chain clip thing in silver around that same price. Ditto on the model 10 its a fantastic piece of hardware but, maybe some day. Plus ive been WAITING for that Wagoneer briefcase and they said its coming back soon.

totally agree on brass, an that set up sounds killer! Do you have pics of it all rigged up hahah would love to see. Love the look of brass on black/brown which is a majority of my closet lol.
