@RobeOfTheMagi The Double Indigo Duck is super rewarding to wear. It fades so incredibly quickly. As far as anesthetics go, I prefer the look of a Type 2. Not pictured is my IHJ-72 which would be my favorite for how a jacket looks on me.

Originally I was going to turn it over but I am surprised by how much I like the two tone contrast. It tells a story in a more direct way.

25oz indigo/black: 187 wears 2 machine wash

These fades show why I love and appreciate this type of denim so much. The richness of indigo saturation. The variety of value from light to dark. It is unique in its scale contrast.

@Oaktavia hell yes, that’s what I’m talkin bout! They both looks so good. IB really makes for some awesome lookin fades. They’re more similar than I thought. I’m sure the feel is another story though. Thanks for sharing, you work fast!

@WhiskeySandwich the 21oz is more soft and subtle, with muted fades compared to the gnarly heft and contrast of the 25oz.

@Oaktavia I definitely noticed the xhs holds its shape and has more contrast. I’m wondering how they’d compare with the same wears and washes. Also love the tonal arcs. I’ll be all for tonal arcs on all the denims. I’m on the lookout for a restock, hopefully I can afford em when the time is right lol

@Oaktavia to further pick your brain, how would you compare the velvety fuzziness of the two? like on the thighs, how you can sorta brush it one way and it changes colors a bit, if ya get me? I think i can almost see it, but i know thats hard to photograph.

It’s a gift from Haraki to Alex as a “mentor” to “student” to a “father” to “son” to a “friend” to a “friend” type gift…we are only temporary custodians of such an awesome gesture and quite frankly humbled by being included.
