4 yrs after my ride or die husky crossed over the rainbow bridge, finally got a new fur ball even after swearing I’d never get another dog. My boss who’s 83+ yr old got a new puppy after his golden retriever passed, he and his wife gave the info of where they got their pup from bc i loved the chill temperament of him. My dad & I went to check what pups were left and the fluffball I’m holding was the one that came up to say “hi”. He’s a super chill dude. Has no thoughts behind his eyes. Whatever goes, just flows. He has an overbite, but vet doesn’t see it as being an issue. He has his moments where he has bursts of energy, but they’re far and few. The only worry I have is he’s a couch potato. He loves to eat and sleep, enjoys playing but not for long periods. Was kinda hoping for a more active dog, but he’s such a good boy.

@RoxRocks86 OmG!! Congrats!! He’s so freaking handsome!!
My boy was always really chill like that too. He’s down to play but also happy to just lay by my feet. Perfect combo in my opinion. But if I say it’s time to go fishing…he is down 24/7!! -
@RoxRocks86 Congratulations, your new friend is simply gorgeous

Congrats @RoxRocks86 - fluffy AF
His ears look perfect for flying backwards when he sticks his head out of the car window!

@RoxRocks86 congrats on your new pup!

@RoxRocks86 that is one handsome floof!

@RoxRocks86 Man that's a great looking doggo, chill dogs are the best honestly. I have two dogs and one is chill and the other is wild lol
I also used to have huskies, they're my favourite breed but promised I wouldn't get another once he died... they take a lot of work!

@Mizmazzle thank you
love that for you! Definitely the best of both worlds in terms of energy! I’m just so used to high energy dogs, that this calm output is taking me some time to get used to, but in all honestly it is matching my current situation so quite happy for it. It’s just me that needs to get used to it…the calmness of it all. Can’t wait to introduce this guy to some fun adventures (calm ones at that!) and can only hope he likes it! But also wouldn't mind if he just wants to enjoy adventures being at home doing his own thing. He is always welcome to just do and exist as he is.

@Luijim78 @Bridger @SKT thank you! His ego is only getting bigger with these compliments
@Jord thank you as well and i feel that that in my soul! I didn’t want another husky for a reason! Don’t think i can handle another one. They’re too smart for their own good and play chess instead of checkers. They make wonderful pets once you establish boundaries and activate boss-mode from puppy age to adulthood and ensure they get regular exercise and mental stimulation. Then once they hit senior age theyre the perfect pet. Just a lot of work in general but their attitude and sass make up for a lot of it
at least their personality and chaotic energy is what i once lived for.

I’ve been slowly getting Zapata “fit for purpose” as the Open Field Coursing season starts this weekend.
