IH-101J-SR - 18oz Selvedge Denim Storm Rider Jacket - Indigo
-
I think I’ll wash mine when it gets dirty or smells
-
@Gammaman Damn, that thing is beautiful.
-
-
Can i ask your washing process for this type of jacket please

-
Yeah no special treatments not even a soak turn garment inside out just bung it in the machine turn the dial to jeans wash (30 degrees c 45 min cycle) add detergent of choice no spin let air dry.

Did anyone size up in this? I wear a large in the UHFs and the chest seems a lot smaller on this, I usually aim for 22.5ish ..is the chart on this deceiving or should I size up.. thanks for any feedback
-
@danieljones33 I usually get medium UHF’s and I got a medium in this. My chest measurement is never my issue though, usually shoulders and arm length. It is pretty tight with an uhf under it but it can still be buttoned up.
-
@Mizmazzle it replaced my n1. Definitely has got more wear already. Loved the n1 though just too warm for down here.
-
The stormy weather really makes me want to ride it. Unfortunately, there are no German retailers that stock the jacket in size 40, if I'm not mistaken ...
-
Looks like I snagged the last German 40 a day before you

Slightly tight in the chest (108 cm) with a sweater, but a good fit I think. The XL would likely be too loose in the shoulders.

-
Horrendous fit. I can send you my contact details though :).
-
Is there anyone wearing a 42 in the 2526j who also owns a storm rider? Would you go with a 42 or 40 in the SR?
-
@RobeOfTheMagi How far do you live from the nearest Ironheart retailer? It may be in your interest to make a trip to the closest one to nail down your fit and to get measurements of items that work for you. You could also try on combinations to see what works and what doesn’t for you.
Might be worth a trip…
-
That's true; Hamburg is a 3h drive. The problem is that there are hardly ever any jackets in stock.
-
@RobeOfTheMagi Are any of the locations listed on this page more convenient: https://ironheart.co.uk/pages/stockist-locator
-

-
@RobeOfTheMagi They come up smaller across the shoulder and longer in the arm, compared to type 111. That's the main measurement to look out for, I find. And you can flip the cuff.
-
Your fit looks great!
-
@RobeOfTheMagi in defence of them, this is kind of a worldwide issue at the moment - we are all struggling to keep stock on hand, IHUK just has the highest spend on stock per year of all IH stockists (obviously), and the widest range of Iron Heart products stocked (also obviously) so the issue looks less severe with us than elsewhere, but in terms of % stock on hand, we are all in the same boat
