@Oaktavia Congrats mate! How've the first 3 weeks been treating you?
-
@EdH as described by the folks who knew best...lots of poopie dipers. Awake a lot when I would be asleep in my past life. Crying baby won't stop crying, etc. But he is so damn cute, makes the most adorable little noises, when he is asleep, he scrunches and stretches in ways that melt my heart. He smells like a little bebe and I love it. I have learned so much already. It has been nice being home from work as well.

@Oaktavia I’m so happy for you guys. I remember how exhausting it can be but man this time frame is truly the best. And I love how you put it “in my past life”…it really is a new life for you as well. I was lucky enough to get to be home with both my kids when they were babies and it was an amazing experience. Hoping you guys get rest when you can and all the adjustments are smooth. How does your pup like the new addition?

@SKT thanks for the kind words man. I appreciate the connection and I love being a parent now, like all of you in this thread. I feel fulfilled with a new sense of purpose.
Rosie has been cautious because she can 100% sense my protective energy over Jacko. She only gets concerned and moves off the couch when he farts or shits himself loudly next to her. She is well trained and behaved, my wife and I made sure of this from when she was a puppy. I am looking forward to my dog and my son becoming companions in the not so distant future.

@Oaktavia Yeah, Little Miss H is excited, but I don't think she has any idea how much things are about to change. We're in the last month to 6 weeks until there are two of them. I'm going to have to step up and take charge of more of the morning routine and Little-Miss-related errands, especially at first, though I'm trying to convince her that she is ready for more independence when it comes to things like getting dressed, brushing teeth, etc. She's demonstrating a little bit of a regressive tendency - I suspect she's acting baby-ish as a way of subconsciously asserting that she wants things to stay the same.
Mrs H is doing well. Feeling very front heavy and wishing it to be over now.
And I agree, the little snuffly noises babies make when snoozing are the best.
And if you think the poopy nappies are bad now, wait until you start to wean him. Once they get some real food in their systems and are doing real shits you'll wish you could get the milk-shits back.
Sounds like you guys are doing well though. Managed to get him in denim yet?
