Ship John

95% of the time I take a tagged Large IH western - I took a tagged Medium from a previous run of the denim Townes. Ended up selling it on the forum a while back (size was champ, just too many shirts), but don’t seem to have kept a record of the measurements I took from that sale….
Edit: I recall it felt long

I'm glad to see a few here snagged the latest sahsiko shirt. I had one in the cart, checking out, and during payment processing, my order was canceled. I was right there! I almost had it!! I was incensed. I'm still sore about it.
I'll check the local shop near the release date.

For preference my IH 295IB in size Large has a length of 29,9” and ship John’s large is/was on the previous run a 31” length in large. So it’s indeed longer than most Iron Heart shirts in the same size.
I just remembered the length, because it’s a big deal for me. But I didn’t save a picture of the chart.I agree this is a little extensive way of a release. I have nothing that confirms or back it up. But I had a feeling after all most recent releases Mike received 100 of angry email complaining about his releases “lost in cart” and such. My guess he just said this release is gonna be different. It doesn’t solve anything, people that complains will continue to complain, no matter how stuff gets released.
If more people want something then the amount that’s produced, people will always be unhappy to some degree.
I just thought this was a tough cookie to handle because of all different time zones around the world. So depending on when he do release the shirt. It makes a huge difference depending on where in the world you live.
Sweden is 9 hours ahead of Portland. So often when Mike releases updates and such, I’m asleep in the middle of the night here
️
I rather have the hectic release’s , if it means I atleast know when to be alert, awake and ready

That’s a great point about time zones I hadn’t thought about that. That makes it really tough.
If he keeps hearing the same feedback and values the customers, it might be time to adjust and meet demand. Seems like this issue of unhappy peeps has only grown as more people have discovered SJ.

Not sure how many are left but looks like there’s quite a few sizes. I got the double XL.
-
@paulmtg thanks!!! Shoulder dims on the XL has me a little nervous but looked great everywhere else. We shall see.
-
@catdad1 I got XL as well. What size are you typically in ironheart shirts or jackets?
-
@Darth-fader I still dream, some day! Iv tried and missed out on all the Kristofferson releases. But I haven’t lost hope. Some day
-
@paulmtg I'm between 2 and 3X. Everything but the shoulder checked out for me. Requested a wider shoulder but no luck. We'll see when it arrives.
-
Wow. Everything but 2X and 3X still available.

Dang missed out on the XL, congrats to those that got it!

Cross country in less than 48 hours! First ship john clothing. It feels very well built. For some reason I'm just not getting that iron heart level of build quality though. Maybe it's just the fabric weight. Either way it's a keeper. Was hesitant on sizing but my normal American XL worked out just fine.

Just delivered 2XL Denim Townes. Definitely going to need a warm soak to take a little bit of the size out. Will try a cold first, but I don’t think that’ll do much…This is my first Ship John shirt (aside from pocket T’s). I’ve got some of their other items collaboration boots, hats, etc. but it’s nice to finally try a proper shirt.
Initial impression: the cut feels much more generous than I expected, even though the measurements are very similar to my Iron Heart shirts(3xl/4xl). It’s especially noticeable in the cuffs, arms, and oddly enough, the chest. This one measures 25 inches across the chest, which is the bare minimum I can wear in Iron Heart, but it somehow fits much looser.
Construction and fabric are excellent. The denim has a really nice crisp, sturdy hand that I love.
All in all, I’m really happy with it just need to dial in the fit with a soak. I’m also really curious about the black Sashiko and how that one fits. I forget when that one will be ready, but really looking forward to it.
