@david here is the Dryad's saddle that was on a stump by my bedroom window. I have seen this mushroom growing all around the property. Today, I finally decided it was time to pan fry one. It tasted pretty good and smelled of cucumber when raw. I only tried a few small pieces to see how my gut reacts to it. FWIW, Dryad's saddle is easy to ID and does not have any toxic lookalikes. I have read that its smart to try a small bit of a forged mushroom when first harvesting a new species.

@Oaktavia sweet! I find mushrooms kinda horrifying and beautiful. The underside of that one is great. What do/did you use to learn and identify?
