Y'2 Leathers….

@FlavourFade thanks man! Once this weather cools down a bit

Weather is starting to cool down (at least in the mornings) so I’ll take any chance I can to start wearing my chores

Quick update on my Y2/shop Vancouver chore jacket -
I have been wearing this thing a lot more recently......when I first got it, it felt slightly too big and I thought I had messed up with the sizing - but as Tj says in his videos, this jacket shrinks down to shape around your body, so it now feels great.
I was also a little unsure I could pull off a red leather jacket.....I loved the look of it, but felt it might be a bit too much for me. But I have to say, the colour and look of the leather has really grown on me over time. I thought it might be too bright, but as the base colour is camel (with the red on top) the colour is a lot deeper/rich than a bright red - and it is more of a sort of 'tomato' colour than London bus, which I love.....and little signs of the camel are already starting to show in some areas.
I have found the overall design just really works too - it has seven pockets in total (the hidden side hand warmer pockets are really great) and the bi swing back just gives more freedom of movement.....it is just a very comfortable jacket to wear.
Also I love the way it has a bit of a retro biker jacket look with the heavy zipper and bi swing back, but also (to me) has a bit of a retro 70s leather jacket thing going on at the same time (especially because of the uneven colour)......so it sort of falls somewhere between the two and I just love it more everytime I wear it.So anyway - I just wanted to say this one has probably become my favourite of all my leather jackets - it's very practical, comfortable to wear, but also has a lot of mojo to it too!

@Darth-fader truly incredible jacket, cant wait to get more wear in mine. its the perfect amount of color. Bright but rich and not loud

I have been looking around and leather jackets and I would like to pick one up and there are many options out there. Y'2 is a great option and I am particularly interested in something a little understated and the Y'2 PR-65 has really got my eye. I know it's a little lighter in terms of weight and has a cotton linen lining.
Wondering if any one out there has one of these or has something similar from Y'2 that can comment on how the leather is and how warm it is? I'm not looking for something super warm, just a nice jacket for the transitional months.

There's now a navy version of the Y'2 Leathers chore jacket for pre-order.
-
@BalticBob I had one of those and would say it is perfect for what you are looking for - it looked great and was definitely a bit lighter than a lot of their other offerings but still warm
-
@Darth-fader When you say 'had'. Why did you part with it?
-
@BalticBob I messed up on the sizing so it was a little too tight for me - I have since learnt my 'true' size
-
@BalticBob I have the pr-64 which seems to be the same just with a cafe racer collar. It's a great jacket for almost all year wear. But it shines most in fall and spring with a heavy tee or a denim shirt combined

Cool, thanks guys! Holding out to see if this one gets the sale treatment on Cultizm. Sizing wise, these run pretty true to size and soften up nicely I would assume?
-
@BalticBob usualy they don't include leather jackets in sales and codes don't work with these brands... Would not say tts more like IH... My one is XXL (46) like most of my IH stuff but maybe little more roomy due to the cut
