In my experience 666 is slimmer in the top block and wider in the hem than 511. Levi’s are terribly inconsistent in their sizing though so YMMV

@Niney And the thighs are usually wider in the 555 model than in the 666?

@ironhead84 as per everyone's suggestions use the links provided and find the cut closest to the dimensions you shared. No doubt you'll make the right decision (assuming the jeans are in stock) and never look back as IH jeans are a different level.

                  1. Trust the Iron Heart measurements on the product page. They are very accurate.
                  2. Listen to the how we measure tutorial so you know how to measure the Iron Heart way.
                  3. Listen to @neph93 advice he knows what he is talking about. If he says the 511 is closer to the 555 he is accurate.

I find 666 fit sort of like 501’s which is my personal comfort zone. Buying jeans without being able to try on isn’t easy. If you end up getting the 555’s, I would plan on hemming locally so if they don’t fit you properly, you can return back to Iron Heart. Good luck OP, let us know how you do.

I've been looking at the 555 but having wide thighs, I don't think it works for me... it's a dilemma about the sizes!
Once I was travelling I tried the 777 and my size was the 32 waist... but I don't like the conical silhouette...

The problem is, there is no such thing as "a 501". The cut has changed over the years, just like fashions have.

The 634 cut is loosely based on the 1966 501...

                          https://www.heddels.com/2016/11/vintage-levis-501-jeans-the-ultimate-collectors-guide/

The same may well be for the 511. But as someone mentioned already, Levi's are notorious for having wacky sizing. Due, in the main to multiple factories making the stuff and how they cut the fabric....

Which is why we say, measure your jeans and compare the sizing with what we publish.

@Giles yes, modern 501’s fit me sort of like your 666’s. The 634 fit too but I specifically like the tighter top block. I have a couple of pairs of 501’s and yes, there’s definitely a variance in between them. Just looked at all the tags and there’s Mexico, Vietnam, Egypt, and I have a pair from Japan. So no wonder. I guess, for them to have actual size charts would be a nightmare logistically. I mean they do have size charts but they show you a range.

@Chibs The volume, and methods of production also affects sizing, meaning there can be a huge variance within a given tag size of the same model, from the same production run. Add in the tendency for vanity sizing that the large producers embrace and it’s a shitshow.

@ironhead84 the above is also the reason why you need to do your due diligence and use the measuring tables and compare function, then contact the shop for assistance.

I have sent an email with the measurements and asking about the cut that most resembles the Levis 511 and they have recommended the Iron Heart 777 model ... others in this forum the 555 model ... There is also the option of the 666 which says in the description that it is slim straight...

Seems like you just need to look at the measurements and decide what YOU want. You’ve gotten advice from all sides, now crunch some numbers and pull the trigger.

Also: just because two cuts from two different brands are called ‘slim straight’ that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re similar. The measurements tell the story.

                                      Thanks!
In case anyone can help me, here are the measurements of my jeans:

                                      Waist: 41,5 cm / 16"
                                      Front rise: 24,5 cm / 9,5"
                                      Rear rise: 38 cm / 14,5"
                                      Thigh: 26,5 cm / 10,5"
                                      Knee: 17 cm / 7"
                                      Hem: 17,5 cm / 7"

For every jean purchase I make, I create a grid with my ideal measurements listed compared to the jeans I’m interested in.

                                      For example using your measurements:

Waist 41.5 and compare them to the jeans you’re interested in and do either a +, -, or = to each line. If the waist on the listed jean is 42.5 then I would do a +, 40.5 a -, or 41.5 an =.

If at the end of the lines (waist, front rise, rear rise, thigh, knee, hem) I have more + or - then I would decide if they are the jeans for me. If the key measurements are fairly identical (for me waist and thigh) then I contemplate purchasing the jeans. For some its the rise, and so on.

If I can’t find similar measurements to my ideal pair of jeans, then I move on and go to the next type of jean (555, 666, 634, 777, 888, 1955, etc.)

It seems overwhelming, but it’s not. Do the work and it pays off. Try to shortcut it and you will end up with a pair of jeans you are unhappy with.

As stated, everyone here has done just about as much as we can to help you. It’s now up to you…

In almost every instance when they buy something and don’t do the work, they ultimately end up not happy with the product, return it, or sell it to try and recoup their money.

@ironhead84 brand descriptions are relative. What Levi's consider a straight cut and what IH considera straight cut are not the same thing. And this is before you even get into rises. The 511 top block is relatively low, just like the 777. The 555 top block is higher than both.

IH do their own cuts. There are no copies of other cuts. So "most similar to Levi's 511" is also relative.

This is why everyone here is telling you:
