IHSH-33-IND - 12oz Selvedge Denim Western Shirt - Indigo
-
I found a 33 online in my size (xxl) but it seems it has an extremely small chest measurement? Can anyone @ShopatIronHeart say something about how this can be? It's an XXL by tag and seller says it's nwt. 57 cm is 5 cm less than what IH claims?
Was their a batch running small or something?
-
Possible that it was from an older run with smaller measurements, unfortunately, that is impossible to confirm.
Also, the measuring technique deviates from the Iron Heart measuring method, where the body meets the sleeve could be flattened a lot more and once flattened, measuring from furthest point to furthest point horizontally will also added an extra few cm to the 'Iron Heart way' measurement.

@Graham thanks a lot Graham!!

@FlavourFade measurement taken by the seller looks like shit. i believe that usually the back piece is wider than the front, and it looks like it is tucked in here. also, a Zollstock probably isn't the best measuring device
-
@tody yeah I figured that out also, maybe I'll risk it if I get a good deal.

Just bought this shirt from SE and it is beautiful. The collar is a bit wrinkly and I plan to wear it for work. Could anyone share their experiences with ironing? I know in the shirt itself it mentions ironing but just want to double check, in case anyone has some techniques or experience! Thanks
-
@goosehd thank you goose. Sorry for the dumb question, so you use both a steamer and an iron?
-
@goosehd got it, thanks goose!

@John-Galt looks great with the copper snaps
-
@John-Galt I’d love to see this shirt in a lit up environment if you have any pictures. Those copper snaps seem to do it justice!
Also, are you wearing a seamaster? I used to have the yellow gold version of that watch if it’s the one I think it is.
-
@worn2fade the copper snaps are a nice upgrade for the 33ind imo - have had this shirt in rotation for about 5 years and the copper snaps were added at purchase. For the watch - the watch on my left is a Glycine Combat bronze - nothing fancy but a nice basic automatic that’s picked up a nice patina over the years.
