Indigo Invitational Y5

Read through most of the thread Indigo Invitational Y4. So how is the status of Y5. Any of you joining or ? I have never participated but was thinking of trying Y5. I’m not gonna win anything I’m sure but might be fun to be part of the journey anyway.

I told myself I was not going to enter as I have way too many good options to wear. I just picked up some new 666 14oz ib’s, so thinking of entering for sh*ts and giggles with no expectations. Can’t wait to see what others here are doing.

I am entering this year with a pair of jeans from Naked and Famous MIJ13. It is a black by black 16oz fabric. I don't expect to place with them but I wanted to try to fade a black pair.

@Mister_Brue the 634 lefty’s I picked up at IH Hamburg last week or a pair of Big John M1803 I haven’t used yet. I think the silhouette of the 634’s will work better for multiple occasions than the wider fit of the Big John though.

It’s also my first year competing and I’m in it to win it baby. We’ll see how that works out lol.

I’ve been wearing my 888S-UHR’s in this Florida heat the last 6 months, they’ll hit 7 by the time IIY5 begins - going to feel nice throwing on and breaking in this heavier denim in the “cooler” months to come - though it won’t actually start being “cooler” til’ probably late October.

This time I'm doing the IGW-101B - Never seen a pair faded, interested to see how they turn out.

@pmadison95 Nice choice, looking forward to following along. (Personally I love black denim, did the SBGs last Invitational)

@PJ I found it really enjoyable last year, even if I know I will never win or place high, far too slow of a fader for that to happen. Still, that pair is by far my most faded pair and I was very happy with the way it came out. It's a fun little project.

I'm in this year. Going with 888 19L this time. Been fading a pair of 888 UHR since the end of Y4.

They are in desperate need of a wash but I will try and get some pictures later today. Good opportunity to start getting back in practice with my denim photos!

I was torn between doing re(pair) with my UHR or going with the XHS but then the Piger X ii collab dropped and they just looked too good to pass on. I do feel guilty not going with iron heart this year but I do have the lefty jacket ready and waiting for the redline rally to start.
