McCoy Tyner has been a standout player on my jazz journey. I’ve loved so much of what I’ve heard of his that I rolled the dice on this one in the used bin. Might be the highlight of my haul.

@Mizmazzle McCoyTyner is one of my all time favorites on the keys. I’m familiar with the album but I have not heard it. I’ve also never seen that one in the wild, oddly enough. I try to grab anything he’s on.

@J-IV this is a trio with Ron Carter and Elvin Jones. It’s a bit spacey and even a touch psychedelic at times. But classic in styling somehow at the same time. A really fun session.

The only other one I own is wilds although I've listened to all of the others at least a handful of times

@68degreesorless I just listened to Moondance on Tidal and now I want that album. Recognized more of the songs than I realized and it’s just a lot more approachable music to me. Astral Weeks is pretty heady/cerebral. Thinking I may come around on it as I get more into Van’s catalog.

@popvulture thanks for the recommendation on common one - I will check it out. Yes my favorite shop has a copy of them again I’ve been lusting after but it’s an original in great shape for nearly $50 usd so it’s still on my wishlist…
