Wear and Repair
-
@Tago Mago. Ok thanks. It seems tricky, that's why I asked. I'll check the link.

Does this only apply to jeans? I got one of my favorite UHF's snagged on a loose screw in my garage last winter and ended up with a pretty nasty gash on the elbow. I haven't worn it since as I've been debating on what to do. I was considering a wabi sabi patch to cover it, but just inquiring here.

@Johnnyutah247 Sorry to hear man! Could you send us a photo the damage. I'll relay this to @JoshC and see if there is anything he can do.
-
@Freeman sure thing. Thanks for trying. I will take some pics first thing tomorrow.

Like I said, pretty nasty. I'm thinking a patch might be the best fix?
-
Oh shit. I’d cry. But honestly though, I don’t want to speak for @JoshC but I feel like he could do something with it. It won’t look like new but he can for sure make it wearable. Also, if you found two matching burgundy patches it would look pretty dope. If it were me I’d do that.

@Matt i was pretty upset, I've had this UHF for a long time. It was weird, I didn't feel it happen, I was working in the garage and at some point I felt a cold draft on my arm and looked and saw the hole. I bought it new from self edge whenever it came out. Its one of the first ironheart pieces I ever bought. It's been washed a bunch of times and it's so buttery soft now and broken in. The patch idea is what I'm thinking. I wonder if the crew has anything laying around that matches.

Something like this?

@Johnnyutah247 sorry to hear the shirt has ripped! flannels aren't something I do that often but there is definitely options that you would have, like patching or hand sewing, looking at it I would go with patching as you and matt have mentioned, but I would look at a good local tailor and see what they recommend and they should be able to sort you out, but if you do have any difficulties don't hesitate to get in touch and give me a email at shop@ironheart.co.uk and we can chat through some ideas.

@Dmart sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I have been away on holibobs and got back late last night. as @Matt said better to get get it sorted sooner rather than later when it becomes bigger and more visible. If you follow the link below this will take you to the repairs and if you can fill out the form just so I have a record of the repair and what needs to doing, when I am back in the office on Thursday I will email you regarding the next steps and stuff.

@JoshC Hi Josh, sorry for the bone question, but do you have any idea on lead time for such an early crotch repair as above? I’m in a similar situation with my 822’s and think it may be wise to get them in whilst I’m on ‘holibobs’ ( ) for three weeks from Friday. ) for three weeks from Friday.Thanks.
-
@Mister_Brue I would say 4-5 weeks at the moment, just because iv have been away a fair bit recently so I do need to catch up on what's here, but that would hopefully be worst case scenario. @Dmart Perfect! if you do need anything or have any questions you can sling me an email at Shop@ironheart.co.uk

Just wanted to provide an update on the repairs to my IHSH-102-MC. It took a little bit to get the patch I ordered from ETSY( came from the UK). And I kind of forgot about it. Eventually I got around to dropping it off at a local tailor and below are the results. The color isn't an exact match, but it's pretty close. I'm happy with the results.
