The reissue wide range are incredibly weak output with no real definition unfortunately. I love a good low output mid range-y pickup. On my Schecter PT the superrock ii pickups are incredibly for a range of sounds, so I wound up putting the Ceramic SD humbucker in the bridge on my Thinline. Made a huge world of difference for playing higher gain tones, but still has some sparkle for some softer indie and Midwest emo sounds. I believe it’s the SH-5 Custom from Seymour Duncan in case you’re in the market for some clear clear sounds!! Only downside is I believe ceramic pickups are more often than not Microphonic, so with the thinline it’s very noticeable— however, with the type of music I play, this just means I have the ultimate feedback-generating monster haha

Neural DSP is great, a bit pricier, but superb quality on their plugins. I use the Archetype Tim Henson and Archetype Nolly plugins for recording demos or even doing early stage mixes for my current band. As for drum sounds make sure to check out GetGoodDrums. They have some great drum libraries that are either really huge and give you so many options, or you can go for their “mix-ready” options which I personally love as well.

Hell yea, I got the Gojira X with 50% off in their sale the other week and am using STL AmpHub for clean tones.
I tried GGD ages ago but couldn't get on with it so went for EZ Drummer 3 but will def checkout the new Modern and Massive 2.
Been chopping and changing guitars the last few months since I got back into it. First had a Schecter Tao 6 but had a neck pocket issue, then a Schecter Keith Merrow but HATED the Lundgren M6's and then THIS just showed up today - best guitar I have ever played and was an absolute STEAL on ebay. On a par with ESP Standard and Jackson USA select for sure which are probs the highest end guitars I have owned back in the day.
2nd Run with aftermarket BKP Juggernaughts which are perfect!
2nd run would make it 9 years old... and it is DEAD MINT!

. Very kick ass guitar though! Worth taking a dive into modifying your own guitars once you find one you really like the feel of. Pickup swapping is “easy” enough, just a bit of time and effort— well worth the trouble imo! -

It’s Cocobolo. The top is Adirondack spruce, the neck is figured mahogany, fretboard is ebony and the binding is figured Koa. -

@SFMCfranky Wow, beautiful guitar. Santa Cruz makes incredible instruments. Love that figured mahogany neck. Is it a J-45 style spec wise?
I actually got a new Les Paul in last week. Will post some pictures later.

Hi there! I just saw this question. The dimensions are similar to a J-45. But with a shorter scale length - like original Southern Jumbos.

Even shorter than 24.75in? Every J-45 I've played/owned has been 24.75.
