@ricardodarmali those look great. I need to get mine off to IH for a crotch repair, I’ve just been procrastinating. I miss wearing them.

@Twistlock I'll try... The 666 21oz Superblack size 36 has a waist 34.8 inches and this fits me well after stretching an inch. The 666 XHS size 35 has a waist that starts at 36.3 pre soak. After soak there will be some shrinkage, but I'm thinking it'll end up around 35 ish after break in.

You aren’t getting much shrinkage from these and even if you wash them very hot no more than an inch. I’d size down. Mine were about a size too big from my normal size as well.

I think I'll be able to try on a size 34 (which is two sizes down) locally, and depending how that fits (or doesn't fit) I can assess if I am in fact a 35.

@j6550 , my experience as well, after wash and some wear you will end up close to waist measurement as per sizing chart.

Need help with a sizing scenario. If I needed my waist to end up after soaking, washing and wearing at 35”, which starting waist would be the best bet…34.75” or 35.5”?

@SKT I used to have the same thinking of yours, and I decided to go with size 35. And so happy with that. It was so loose before soak and wearing. But it’s good now after a week of use and 2 hot soak. Even I think it wasn’t much shrinkage on the waist for 2 x 45 mins? Just around 0.5” at the max. And it surely will go back and stretch more after lots of wear.

So, if you need the final measurements to be at 35”, it depends on you. Does the size 34 fit you on any other area? If yes, the next question, can you bear the consequences of wearing 25oz a bit fit? If you checklist them all, then go ahead. 🙏

Finally joined the XHS club. I went round and round trying to find a cut and fit that would work and ultimately found this pair of 666 that hit the sweet spot. Looking forward to years of fades with these and excited for cooler weather so I can begin breaking them in.

I’ll add this (which all you guys that have a pair of XHS already know) after spending some time with this denim it’s a small miracle IH is able to make a garment out of something this robust…amazing really. “Break The Needle” is right

@SKT I have the 555's in XHS 25oz and they're incredible, even comparing them to my 21oz denim it just feels so... robust like you said... Are you going to be wearing these for the Indigo Invitational? 🙂

I haven’t the stamina to properly do the Invitational but I love watching you guys put your jeans through the wringer. I’ll probably rotate these with my 822’s and UHR’s through the colder months.

Yeah I feel you, I like to rotate my jeans quite often too... I wore my 555 XHS a few times this summer and at times wished I was wearing shorts, lol.
