@catdad1 looking good man, have you been wearing it over the summer or did you just get you one?
-
@ZackB thanks! Just came in the mail. Managed to find one. I swear it's bleeding indigo just by starting at it. All ready for fall now.

Hi gents,
About 115 wears, 3 washes. It has started to come alive, such a rich jacket.
One of my favorites for sure.

Yes for sure, rich in indigo saturation. Looks great on you.
-
@tvaillant75 looks great man, love this fabric
-
Thanks guys, still haven't cracked the picture taking game but on the learning curve I hope.
I'll try to show better the evo with close ups one of these days. -
@tvaillant75 Looks great man! I'm jealous.
I hope IH drops another higher oz indigo type I or II again in the next year or two. Type III's aren't really my style and I'm a ho for the heavies

Sleeves on this one were always a rad long for my taste, a simple roll works quite well! Plus I get to see the fading due to the watch

Really loving this jacket, @Oaktavia fo you plan to take it out for another spin?
-
@tvaillant75 bag looks good too

Most definitely, I am at the point now where most of my jackets are faded to where I am satisfied. Just a couple more to fade before I start my faded jacket rotation (denim junkie ramblings).
Your jacket looks awesome with the sleeves cuffed. Has those fades around the inside.
-
@Oaktavia I was actually wondering about it, whether the joy of fading overtakes the rotation of already faded clothes. kind of a journey vs. destination denim philosophical question

I am at the beginning of this hobby, so I definitely get a loit of enjoyment about making progress at this stage.

Fading projects definitely overtake a would-be rotation of already faded denim. I see my personal denim fading journey in two major stages:
-
Focusing on one or two pieces at a time, tops and bottoms. Fade these to the point where satisfaction is aquired. This, to me, is about 50-75% fading progression of any given piece until moving onto the next one.
-
Once 6-7 jackets, shirts and pants are faded to my liking, I plan to start a rotation of all the pieces I have faded from stage one. From here, rotating the denim extends the lifetime of the fabric while allowing myself to enjoy the fruits of my fades. It also allows the denim to continue to fade in all its glory, albiet at a snail's pace. The fade marks will be present, yet not totally developed with a ways to go. I plan to reach this goal in the next two years or so.
Not to of course be naive to the fact that more epic IH drops will occur. But for now, I am closer to reaching the rotation than I have been before.
