Mizmazzle’s Trip Across the Pond

@goosehd back is feeling strong! I did the last two legs of the hike and still feeling great. We landed in Edinburgh yesterday and finally have a slow easy day planned so time to update the travel thread!!

Hey folks!! I’ve recovered surprisingly quickly for how intensely my back had laid me up. It might have been pushing it to risk jumping in on the hike with Morgan and the Brits…but I decided to roll the dice and so glad I did. I kept the ibuprofen and stretches in place, lightened the load in my pack and hit the trail. Had to do it. Who knows if or when I’ll be back to this part of the world!!

Kingshouse to Kinlochleven (bonus it was a sunny day)

Beers at the end of a 9 mile day.

Kinlochleven to Ft. William was the big day. 15 miles on the trail and it was a wet one. I loved the sunny day prior, but now I felt like we were actually in Scotland!!

Morgan and Becca thought they saw a single midge flying about and didn’t want to risk it…

We made it to the end!!

Hurried bit of advice. Found a killer Scottish wool/ cashmere cardigan made in Scotland by Mc George as my final souvenir to complete my scavenger hunt.
Navy or Camel color??? Can’t decide
Have to go make the final choice this afternoon.

Navy it is!! I felt it in my bones. Brought the camel back to the hotel last night. I did like it a ton. But felt the navy would be so much easier to wear! Went back to Dick’s Edinburgh to make the swap.

@sabergirl it’s really soft. 90% virgin wool and 10% cashmere for softness. Still very robust and dense but that bit of cashmere makes it super cozy to wear.

@SKT 100% a lifetime piece. Been hunting for years for the perfect one.

@flannel-slut the amount of wearable souvenirs acquired on this trip is a little embarrassing. But damn…too many opportunities of a lifetime to let them pass us by.
