Just booked a ticket.
I arrive at Heathrow on Friday at 18:45. Anyone have a similar arrival?
How far in advance must British trains be booked to receive good rates? Currently, the train from Heathrow to Portsmouth is 28 pounds and the bus is 17 pounds.

You can wait till a few weeks beforehand to book a train or bus, those prices sound OK but how long does it take by train from Heathrow? I imagine it's a long journey with lots of changes. The bus would probably work better.
Very excited about meeting you in Las Vegas, are you there on Friday?

For any of you planning to come over for the party night or the entire weekend, I've reserved rooms in a local guest house - it's a traditional English B&B, certainly not fancy but clean, comfortable and very friendly, and 5 mins walk away from IH UK HQ. I am holding 7 rooms for 3 nights (Friday 2nd, Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th).
Below are the rooms still available. Please let me know ASAP if you want to take one of the rooms, the cost includes full breakfast.
Room 4 - double with ensuite - £45 per night
Room 5 - double and single beds ensuite - £45 per night
Room 6 - double and single beds ensuite - £45 per night
Room 7 - twin beds or double bed ensuite - £45 per night
Room 9 - standard single (no ensuite - shares bathroom with one other room) - £22 per nightThe best and closest alternative, especially if you prefer a bigger hotel, is the Holiday Inn Express at Gunwharf Quays (http://www.hiexpress.com:80/hotels/us/en/portsmouth/pmegq/hoteldetail) where the online advance booking rate is currently £97 per night including continental breakfast. This is about 20 mins away from us, via the ferry across the harbour and is in the middle of a fun area with lots of shopping, bars and close to the train station and the historic Royal Portsmouth Dockyard.

It takes 2 hours by train (actually bus + train) with 1 change. The national express bus takes 3 hours.
Can you please book me one of the 45 pound rooms for Friday and Saturday nights. I won't arrive until approximately 22:30 in Gosport on Friday. I hope this is not too late for the B&B.
How do I search your house on Google maps? The Superintendent's House, 5 Flagstaff Green, Gosport does not give any results.
I leave tomorrow morning, arrive LA Friday afternoon, and drive to Vegas on Saturday so I probably will arrive just before the party starts. Looking forward to meeting you as well. See you soon.

Oh, it would be so fab if you could come here or to Zurich or both! Have you looked into cost of flying into London and back out from Zurich? Am sure you could get one-way flight to Zurich pretty cheap. If you want any help looking into flights and stuff let me know!

Around $730 roundtrip from (NY to UK/ Zurich to NY) and about $120ish for a flight from UK to Zurich. Not looking too good for me atm…

Wish I could Beats, really do! With the $ what it is and not have much of an income atm I just can't do it. Might be possible if I could actually sell some items but it has not been happening. Prices for flights are all going up as well. I will be there in spirit for sure! Maybe the folks located in NY/ East Coast want to do a mini party at the same time?
