Sized up from an XL in the old sulphur version to XXL in this. For whatever reason the armpit seams drove me nuts in the XL, hoping the XXL fixes it. The OD is my favourite jacket so I’ve been waiting a while for this, I will miss the patina on the buttons, though!

Quite surprised these didn’t sell out instantly!

Resistance was futile on this one even though I recently picked up the Iron Heart x Self Edge collaboration which looks fairly similar. I've wanted a Lefty for so long, and the more I went down the LHT rabbit hole, the OD version seemed to be more in line with what I'm wanting vs. the standard indigo Lefty. Will be interesting to compare this one to the Self Edge collaboration once it gets here.

This is killing me. I wasn't really looking to get another jacket, I got the non-OD version last year and have barely started to break it in... but I don't want to miss out and need to wait another year or two before these are restocked.

Is it roughly accurate to say that this fits about a size smaller than the non-OD version? That's what the measurements look like.

@reprehensible I'd say it measures smaller also. Just measure the jacket you have and compare. Note: I also will go to retailer sites I trust and check their measurements as well. Iron Shop Provisions and Withered Fig as well as others. I try to expect the item to be slightly smaller than the measurements but your mileage may very and needs may be different. This jacket is notorious for being "long" which suits me fine. But it sounds like you already have the regular Lefty? So measurements would be very helpful

@reprehensible the non OD version of this jacket has some shrink in it, whereas the OD version does not.

@Johnnyutah247 please let us know how this fit goes, and any info on your measurements or flannel size. I'm wanting to pick one up but can't decide between XXL or XXXL.

@RubyRae in UHF's I'm either an XL or an XXL depending on measurements and also my current weight at the time. Both can usually work but an XXL gives me a little more room. I have the IH-526PJ (21 oz type 3) in an XXL and it fits perfectly, the measurements in that come up just a little smaller than this one so I asked for an XXL with slightly smaller measurements and @Graham helped me out. I also have this jacket in the non OD version in XXL and it started off too big, but a few washes have tightened it up considerably and now it fits well. The OD process removes all the shrink. I could probably size down to an XL in the type 3's for a slim look, but I do prefer to be able to layer a UHF under if I want, so the XXL's are better for that. They still look good with a t but give me an option for layering.

For reference I'm about 6'2" and my weight flucuates between around 205-215. I wear a size 35 or 36 in the 888 cut. In the N1 I wear an XL. In standard American t shirts I'm a size L about 99.9% of the time. If you already own a type 3, it can't hurt to measure it the way ironheart measures theirs, and compare.

Tried on wearing shorts as its 30C here in the UK but man am I happy with the fit. Literally couldn’t work better for me if it had been made to measure.

Mainly intend to wear this a with a hoody or UHF and its sits perfectly over either, it’s also great over a just a t shirt so I can do that also.

The sleeves have got the perfect extra 0.5” or so to allow them to pull up slightly once the creases are set.

Basically the perfect jacket for casual wear.

Other half was absoloutely baffled taking this photo wondering why I insisted on sticking a hoody on today of all days😂

What a beast! Quick and dirty mid workday comparison to the recent 19oz self edge collab and 14oz OD. Lod left, SE middle, 14oz right. This is hands down the sturdiest fabric XHS aside. Looking forward to fall.

Also thanks @Graham for getting me the shortest sleeve option!

Received my XL today ... great service from Iron Heart per usual. Truly awesome jacket and fit, but 90°+, so quite the buzzkill to have to put it on a hanger until Septober-ish. 😢
