IHV-51-BRN - 12oz Duck N1 Deck Vest - Brown
-
@Alex Curious what people’s issues are with synthetic fabrics?
-
@Alex surely everyone that works out, runs etc has polyester clothing, all of the puffa coats you see around are synthetic. So many synthetic items out there chances are those that feel “strongly” about them will have at least one piece at home.

 @jimcord said in IHV-51-BRN - 12oz Duck N1 Deck Vest - Brown:Just curious on your thoughts, the faux collar was chosen, so it could be easily laundered, but do you think that it being synthetic that will hold the product back from success? Do you think a different material choice would make a difference in peoples minds and if so, could it be changed in time? Funny enough, this is what brought me to IH. Last year I decided to get rid of all synthetic from my closet. I donated every item I had with any % of polyester on the tag. Even my underwear and workout gear is now 100% natural. This was all motivated by a shift in mentality to take the best care of my body that I could. Not wearing plastic against my skin was part of that. I also changed my diet at the time and have lost 40 lbs! Along with the fabric choices, I decided to omit all fast-fashion items and only buy clothes from makers that took pride in what they were producing. That is how I found Iron Heart.

@Go-For-Chill and glad you did!

@Alex said in IHV-51-BRN - 12oz Duck N1 Deck Vest - Brown: @Go-For-Chill and glad you did! Ditto, brother! I’ve been blown away both by the passion you and your team put into what you produce, and the community behind it all.

The people on this forum are so amazingly refreshing, so many different thoughts and opinions yet respectful towards one another! I truly love reading these threads!

Personally, I cannot wear wool without being covered in an itchy rash. So I personally don’t mind synthetic. I’m sure it’s of the highest quality.

@Go-For-Chill
 Are we secretly brothers……i too went on a health journey, for me it was losing 110 pounds! Fitness, diet and am completely transparent, one of the weight loss drugs to help.
 Changed my wardrobe to clothes of all natural fibers as much as possible and tried to pick style from vendors/designers that I resonated with.
 All of this change in weight, attitude, wardrobe, desire for quality over quantity all led me to Iron Heart and a few others. A journey that started on January 18th, 2023 and ongoing.

@jimcord
 Ha! Great minds and such!Congrats on the accomplishment! I did the drug as well. I do it in cycles. Usually about 30 days on, and 6-12 months off. I really just use it to help me reprogram my thinking around food from time to time. My mentality for clothing (and food) is “I care about me, so you must as well.” That’s why IH clicked with me.

 Congratulations to both of us for our continued journey, may we both continue on with happiness and success! And to others on their journey, I hope for nothing but health and happiness to them as well!

@Gavin666 for me I know the cost of the item is part of it. Alpaca wool/sheep is a premium material so it helps offset the cost in my brain at least lol. I've never been to picky on this but having fallen in love with the N1 with wool I'm wondering if I'm spoiled now. This is a cool piece so I may have to test it out.
-
I know some of the items came in short in the body. Was this one of them?
-
@CosmoSix5 No, the tanker jacket and lightweight N1 samples were shorter than H san would like, so will be tweaked
-
Like a lot, but wonder about the use-case for me. Anything N1 needs reasonably cold weather, and in DK this usually goes with wet weather as well. I suspect this is more for you guys with more continental climate, blessed with dry and cold winters!
-
I really liked this in FW vid and it’s just grown on me since. It does look a bit short on the model so I get @CosmoSix5 ’s question. Maybe he’s wearing a longish sweater underneath? In any case, such nice vest and no need to worry about sleeve length this time around

@Alex said in IHV-51-BRN - 12oz Duck N1 Deck Vest - Brown: @jimcord yeah, i think we will look at that for future collections. A lot of the retailer love Adam mentioned yday was for the fabric rather than the overall item (sorry to debunk @ARNC 's theory) as they often struggle with N1 Vests. Let's see how FW25 goes, and you may see a return in a future season I'll be letting my wife know i made the sacrifice of buying this item for the greater good of the material seeing the light of day once more

Lol woke up this morning and I had been dreaming g that I had a pair of IH duck cloth pants made from this brown/black material and they were so cool! So it begs the question, have you guys experimented with pants with this cloth yet? if so, I want first dibs on them, size 34!:)
