Hi everyone, new to the forum but not new to IH denim. I own a few IH jeans or I should have said they own me. I'm Dave from Merseyside in the UK.

Hi all, just signed up from Sussex and looking to purchase my first Iron Heart piece and hoping you can guide/help me decide!
Choosing between IHSH-235 in grey and IHSH-381 in olive. Does anyone have both and offer some input? I have looked through both forum threads and still struggling to pick between them. I want it to double up as a lightish jacket so would the heavier 13oz fabric be better or do I go with the 381 as it has pockets? I'm hoping they'd both fit me fairly well looking at the size charts, thanks for any input!

Hey Everybody!
I’ve utilized the forum quite a bit to see pics of awesome pieces, and reference for answers to some of my questions. I decided to just join in the fun! I’m based in Denver, Colorado, USA. Originally from Disneyland, California. Not the actual park, but it’s a solid landmark.I just picked up my first pair of IH jeans and am super excited

Welcome to the forum.
Unfortunately, I have neither of those particular shirts. I really wanted the IHSH-235 in olive, but could only find it in grey in my size online. I was able to find the IHSH-381 in olive and placed an order and it should arrive on Monday. I sized down from my normal size as it looks like they run a bit large. I was able to look at them both at the local self-edge store (they did not have my size) - I think I prefer the heavier material on the IHSH-235. It seems like it will patina better, although I do like the pockets on the 381. But, of course, take all the above with a grain of salt since I currently own neither shirt.
You probably already know this, but there is a subsection on the forum for each iron heart model. These are a good place to look to see various user photos of an item, how it ages, how it looks worn with various other pieces, and long-winded user commentary. Here are the two for these particular shirts:

Hello everyone, joining from Warsaw, Poland. Looking to make my first order (OGL belt and IHSH-315, one S, other XXXL, which seems weird
). Hoping for IH-888 restock in near future.

If you are buying from IHUK, please ask them to check sizing for you

Hi,
Newby here.
I’m from the South of Perth in Western Australia.
Ordered my first UH flannel the other day. Unfortunately she was on the snug side. I’ve now learnt the importance of getting my measurements correct and to check each and every garment for their individual sizes.
But….. I’m sold. Love the quality and look forward to adding many more to my wardrobe, just with the correct sizing for how I like to wear my clothing.
I currently have a Wabash shirt in bound and looking to buy a hoody and pair of jeans next. Not sure of the 21 ounce or higher jeans though. She gets warm in WA. Thinking maybe the 14oz instead, when they are available. I much prefer blacks over blue.
I’m really big into RM Williams. Have over 14 pairs of boots and probably 30 pairs of jeans. I have recently lost a lot of weight (deliberately) and need to start again with collecting jeans as my size 42’s, 40’s and now 38’s are too big.
My issue I’m finding with RM’s though is that more and more of their offerings are now Chinese made and they seem to be getting thinner and thinner. -
@Aussie-Ben welcome to the forum. To get your measurements down check out the measuring guides:

As for a pair of warm weather, denim despite the lower weight the 14oz is not as good in summer as the 16oz slubby for example due to a tighter weave
