      Max once again is out here doing side quests.

      See a lap record at Nurburgring Nordschliefe under a pseudonym in a Ferrari 296 GT3.

      First time on the circuit, did it in a few laps. Truly on another planet.

      Think it, be it.

        Do you think Max enjoyed doing it in a Ferrari?

              @Bridger yep!!! He could probably do it in a soapbox 🤣 I have my issues with him but what a driver he is. Of course thousands of sim hours on the course helped but just ungodly.

              @WhiskeySandwich 🤣🤣🤣

                      That was a great time.

                      Max earned much more than a 10s penalty there for torpedoing Russell. Unacceptable behavior.

                                    Maybe I don’t know enough about it but I feel like he’s a complete racer and a complete asshole. Like the master class he gave in São Paulo last season, winning from P17 in the rain while the rest of the field kind of helplessly skittered around, demonstrated another level. I mean dude set a record in a GT the first time he drove Nurburgring. He’s so complete that he’s out there doing side quests. He advises his team on strategy while racing (messed up by requesting new tires last race) and even notices things other drivers are doing and asks his engineer to raise the issue with the stewards if they misstep.

                                    Lest we say the incompleteness is due to intemperance and things like this latest dive bomb, we should remember similar moves by Schumacher and Senna (which, BTW, carried much more extreme—and warranted—penalties).

                                      I read that Hamilton is Hadjar's idol, and the reason, apart from the fact he won 7 (8!) championships and 100+ races etc, was he did it cleanly. And that pretty much sums it up for me, Vestappen might be a great and incredibly talented, but if you are dirty...

                                      And I dont think its about having a 'killer instinct' that the winners have - you can have that without barging into people

                                        LH did have a reputation for being immature and reckless in his early days, so I wouldn't say he's always been squeaky clean. Ayrton Senna is regarded by many as the greatest driver and he certainly didn't shy away from questionable tactics. Same with Schumacher. Verstappen's issue is that he still pulls shit like yesterday, and these instances somehow always happen when things aren't going his way. Winning in style is one thing, losing in style another. Not sure if he knows how to do the former, he certainly doesn't know how to do the latter.

                                          Yeah I mean are we then saying that the likes of Schumacher and Senna aren’t among the greats because of similar transgressions?

                                          If Verstappen was consistently improving his placement using shady tactics, I would agree that would tarnish how good of a racer he should be deemed to be. I don’t think that’s the case here though. This was just an immature and ill advised set of moves that took him from P3 to P10, so it is already reflected in the result.

                                          Completely agree he’s just a sore loser. That doesn’t mean he isn’t a great driver IMO. And until FIA really drops the hammer on him he doesn’t have enough reason not to do dumb shit like this.

                                            I think Senna, Schumacher, Verstappen are all greats of F1, but that doesnt take away the fact that they would use underhand tactics - Schumacher running into Hill to stop him out winning the championship, for example.

                                            I still think he (Schumacher) is one of the best drivers ever, as is Senna and Verstappen, I don't believe Hamilton is better - I don't think you can truly say who is the GOAT, its just they go down a touch in my estimation because how they act when they feel like it, which is true in everyday life I suppose.

                                            I do think that F1 should start being a bit stronger on things like this, until they do, it will always happen (not just Verstappen doing it)
