Thank you. Looks like I’m in between a Large and an XL.
The 14oz that fits me perfect is:
Shoulder: 18.5
Chest: 22.0
Sleeve 25.7
Waist 20.0
Length: 25.4
So my question is, do I initially order a L or XL and post these measurements in the notes?

@Chibs I always make a grid of the two items and compare to my ideal measurements. Which ever items most closely matches my ideal measurements is the one I order. Then I’ll put a note to please find something close to the area that you’re worried about.

It also depends on how you want to wear it. I can just about button my OD 14oz over a UHF but I prefer to wear it open anyway, so I’m not overly concerned with chest/waist measurements being on the smaller side

I made a grid but there’s no way of knowing which size is better to order initially. I definitely don’t want longer sleeves than what I have now but shoulders are ideal at 18.5. Here’s my grid

Am I locked into a large of I initially order that size or if they find an XL that better matches are they able to switch that up?

@Chibs Based upon your measurements I would go with XL as all of the large are too small in comparison to your ideals.

Thank you! This wouldn’t be so be so tough if I wasn’t already so emotionally invested in this piece haha. So I guess I’ll order an XL and hope for shorter sleeves, smaller chest and shoulders.

@Chibs second the XL for you. Only thing to keep in mind would be that as your shoulder gets wider your sleeve measurement starts lower on your shoulder i.e. cuff stops further down the arm. Doesn't seem like a deal breaker for you. Just embrace the longer sleeves.

if i wear a 4xl in the ihj-64 jacket, would the 4xl in this be suitable? the measures on this seems slightly smaller in the waist and chest. I dont NEED to be able to button it, but its nice to know that i can

@Alex thanks yeah i did, but wasnt sure if id maybe expect a bit more give out of the denim. the leather i can button with a hoody on under it, but even though small differences in the chest, I'm uncertain if it will be too small

@Alex Obviously I should go off the measurements here, not the size, but just curious - what size would a tag 42 be? Normally I get my type 3s in L which is tag 42 (with the exception of my OD 19oz lefty, which was XL). Based on these measurements, I'm leaning towards an XL - just wondering what the tag sizes are. Also, I am aware that these measurements may be updated soon. Thanks!

The measurements were already updated for this current batch coming out tomorrow. Govern yourself accordingly. I’m in between L and XL so will hopefully get something in that zone.
