The Flat Head

@BalticBob Depends on the model of the Flat Head. I’d say that the single rider has wider shoulders, a slightly narrower chest, and a narrower waist than the IH equivalent size. The Flat Head Type 2 fits slightly looser in all dimensions. Can’t speak to the J24, but the IH sizing and fit appears much, much looser than the equivalent Flat Head numerical size.

Have the flat head type 2 in leather bigger than the double rider both size 40.

Have a type 3 size 38 in IH leather the fit is bigger

Does anyone have the 10oz Flat Head denim work shirt? I really like some of the details on it but I have never seen one and I am curious to know how to stacks up to a 10 or 12 oz IH demin shirt.

I have the 12 oz work shirt from IH and I really like it, especially with the snaps, but I do have my eye on this Flat Head piece too. Can never have too many shirts, right?

@BalticBob I have both the Flat Head and IH denim work shirts. The Flat Head one is really nice. Well constructed and lots of cool details (as you pointed out). Great fit as well. Highly recommended. I'd also recommend the Samurai denim work shirt if you haven't checked it out or do not already own it.

Thought I’d share a couple of pics of this one as it really is rather special in person. I’ve been spoilt by Iron Heart for the last couple of years by getting to handle beautiful fabrics all the time but this Flat Head chambray is something else, the stitching is insane too.

These had sold out in my size and Flat Head don’t ship internationally but I clicked on the re-stock notification link anyway. A few days later I got an email from a kind person at Flat Head saying they had found one in my size and offered to post it out to me. Amazing service and really beautiful shirt!

@DeeDee85 great looking shirt. I was looking at one myself as a summer weight chambray and can’t find an xl anywhere now. Does it feel super light?

@SKT it is much lighter than the IHSH-13 actually but still feels substantial enough to take some punishment. Much nicer fabric than the orSlow and Buzz Rickson’s lightweight chambrays I’ve tried. I’ve just checked Withered Fig for you and annoyingly XL is the only size sold out.. maybe you could try Flat Head direct like I did? It took a few translated emails back and forth but we got there in the end with a PayPal invoice to pay. They were great with the tracking updates too.
