@Anesthetist Such an interesting design. I remember when that place was built, it seemed so modern.

I filed for a patent this morning, so I'm officially allowed to share this with the world. I've been designing this for the last 4 months and it's finally done!

Just stunning my man!! Congratulations on your achievement. It looks like it can articulate and adjust to any position…but also looks instantly like a classic, mid century piece of furniture/ art.

@seawolf This is great!! I hate my current stitching pony where I have to sit on part of the base. My base is wood and it’s always a struggle to find a seat that it won’t scratch up or rip, but is also comfortable.

Do you plan to manufacture or license?

@Go-For-Chill Thank you! I hate having to sit on the base of my little stitching pony too. I added leather to the bottom of it so it doesn't scratch my chair, but it's not very comfortable for long periods of time. I also have a big one that my father-in-law built for me that sits on the floor, and I much prefer using that one.

Yes, I plan on manufacturing. I need to work out some of the engineering still, but once I have it all dialed in, I'll start sourcing local manufacturers to get these made. They'll be sold under my brand Mascon & ZeeBee Tools.

True, but it’s a lot easier when you’re starting from a solid idea! You probably know this already but do check in with your attorney before sharing any clever stuff you come up with when you’re fine tuning the engineering.

@ARNC Great advice. Thank you! All of the clever engineering will be proprietary information, and at some point I may have to submit a utility patent as well.

@tody yeah, for now. A utility patent is a different animal, and the shape of this thing is what’s most important in this moment. I’ve filed two utility patents before and they’re on a whole other level.
