@goosehd Thank you! Not officially graded yet, but I'm certain it'll be the highest mark possible. I'm one of 4 people out of a class of 15 that made anything worth keeping, and this media console is firmly in the "fine furniture" category, so I know I'm safe.
@Mizmazzle Thank you so much! This project awoke something inside of me, and it's quite literally changing the direction of my life. I'm applying to grad school to pursue a Masters of Fine Arts in woodworking and furniture design. I'm so stoked!

You might appreciate this piece bro. We had it custom designed and made by a crazy talented dude like yourself. It has a solid slab walnut front panel. 100% my favorite piece of furniture I’ve ever had. Incredible how something like this with its pure design esthetic can bring so much happiness. You’re destined to bring lots of enjoyment to peoples lives.

@Mizmazzle that is absolutely stunning! I love walnut (obviously, lol), and your piece is exactly why. There's so much amazing figuring in that board, and it's simply gorgeous. I'm so glad you have something in your home that brings you so much joy.

@Anesthetist Such an interesting design. I remember when that place was built, it seemed so modern.

@Mizmazzle smoke ‘em if you got ‘em!
Thank you for the kind words! So happy to have found my way to this design.

@Tago-Mago thank you!

@seawolf This is great!! I hate my current stitching pony where I have to sit on part of the base. My base is wood and it’s always a struggle to find a seat that it won’t scratch up or rip, but is also comfortable.
Do you plan to manufacture or license?
-
@Go-For-Chill Thank you! I hate having to sit on the base of my little stitching pony too. I added leather to the bottom of it so it doesn't scratch my chair, but it's not very comfortable for long periods of time. I also have a big one that my father-in-law built for me that sits on the floor, and I much prefer using that one.
Yes, I plan on manufacturing. I need to work out some of the engineering still, but once I have it all dialed in, I'll start sourcing local manufacturers to get these made. They'll be sold under my brand Mascon & ZeeBee Tools.

Getting a patent is no easy task.
True, but it’s a lot easier when you’re starting from a solid idea! You probably know this already but do check in with your attorney before sharing any clever stuff you come up with when you’re fine tuning the engineering.
