@Giles He’s just handing his championship opportunity to Oscar.

Man, Lando messed up my bet.
After the race edit: good comeback tho! That first corner swap should’ve been let go. That was just racing. Lunged force-off and a stolen recovery. Both moves were unclean and should’ve cancelled each other out. Without the penalty the second half would’ve been a lot more interesting too. Glad to see Charl back on the podium.

Some of this will be with the benefit of hindsight, but Oscar was alwa=ys going to be Lando's primary threat........
-
@Giles I’d rather Lando hand it to Oscar than Lando + the team’s strategy do so as last year.
-
Oscar is ready
-
@Danimal506 yeah it feels like last year was Lando’s chance and they screwed him out of it. But he made mistakes too. Just frustrating for him.

More than ready. And I think he has the minerals to take on Max in a way that I don't think Lando does.
-
My 2030 prediction: The next few years will be a historic time where we saw teammates constantly battle for Championships. The Lando/Oscar battle will be a story for the textbooks about team strategy vs letting drivers drive.

@Go-For-Chill I just hope the racing improves instead of quali being the best part of the weekend so far.

@Rococo 2025 for me is already a 50% write off. Hamilton won’t do anything in the SF-25. Stroll’s existence means one less “top team” driver to watch. Redbull without Newey looks like an anthill that’s just been kicked over…
I can’t wait for the 2026 active aero and car size changes. I really hope it’s a total shakeup.
-
2026 is when Newey’s influence on Aston Martin will be really visible.
-
@Giles “I’m going to put my son in a Newey. That’s the ticket! He’ll finally be good enough!”

@Tago-Mago maybe, like if they have to red flag a session before F1 drivers put up hot laps.
