The professional seamstress that I work with is always telling me she hates the run off. "I want to cut it off every time"! 😂😭

To me it is such a non-thing. If you like it, keep it. If you don't, get rid. 97 posts 🤯

If we did not do it, you could not add it...

I think I may have weighed in with these but I’m a couple beers in on a flight:
Love em on shirts but don’t miss em

I’ve been asked if they were Jewish orthodox tassels (I think the term is tzitzit?), so they stay. That kind of confusion just brightens my day 🤣

Overlock stitch runoff on cut and sewn is annoying and gets cut

Thank you for coming to my TED Talk

            Think it, be it.

              tzitzit?

              Correct

I have a sort of bris ceremony whenever I receive a shirt with them - its officially part of my routine

See? No harm whatsoever, ya just cut em if ya don’t want em. If only more preferences were this easy to deal with.

@CosmoSix5 Personally, I’d be bummed if they not included. They make such fun souvenirs. I keep all the shirts in my memory (dish)…even if I sell them. 🤣

Only got one iron heart shirt (so far!) but one thing I find a bit odd is that the runoff goes down the back seam on the left side but the front one on the right.

@Cymro yep that’s normal—it’s not a mistake on the faux “mistake” of a chain stitch runoff.

It took me years to find out @mclaincausey, that they end on different sides at the bottom line 😅.
Hard to examine this mystery, if you cut them off.

@Aetas haha I really love that little detail because it speaks to the process of making the shirt.
