Wax Treasure (Vinyl)

@Bridger said in Wax Treasure (Vinyl):
The Police was one of the greatest rock trios of all time. They follow in the many mind-blowing UK rock super groups that have been the benchmarks of music.
I ,wholeheartedly, agree with you. An interesting category to ponder. For me the greatest rock trio of all time would have to be Cream. After that second is up for debate. Rush/Jimi Hendrix even The Police would have to be considered.

@Jett129 interesting category to ponder indeed!
Whenever I visit "the Hardrock Cafe" the most coveted item for me is Mitch Mitchell's kit. So for me the answer is JHE by a looooong way. Putting aside the trio thing, they are the only challenge to Zeppelin as the greatest rock band ever.
Other cool trio's to mention - Nivrana*, Motorhead, Beastie Boys, Dinosaur Jnr, YYYs, Violet Femmes, Silverchair, The Melvins, High on Fire, Them Crooked Vultures and ZZ Top.

Ha, thanks @Jett129
I have edited my post as per your suggestion. Dave still makes an appearance

@Jett129 they were a trio at the time of their groundbreaking album so I think they count. I’m not sure either Bleach or In Utero had the second guitarist on them either, it might have been live only.

Edited again - thanks to @NickD

@GraemeE - msabaf is pure magic in the box. Talking heads are among my favourite artists but all that goodness was sometime hard to capture as a comprehensive set to an album. That time they definitely did it.

I have edited my post again @SKT
I saw Billy G as part of the Jeff Beck tribute at RAH an you are correct. The man can play.

I’m lame and not attending. Don’t care for crowds and lines. Nothing I can’t live without on the list this year.

Texas Tuesday. What a helluva debut album.

Dinosaur Jr. - You’re Living All Over Me
Heard them on cassette in 87, live 88 and on CD in several shattered car audios later on.
But this reissued and remastered vinyl from 2011 eases the time liking them. -
Great album @Aetas, feels right to be on vinyl.

@endo love that album
