BONCOURA BLACK PAINTER PANTS & INDIGO TYPE II JACKETS

Boncoura’s 15oz black denim Painter Pants and indigo denim Type II jackets have landed at all stores.

A true icon of American workwear, painter's pants have been reimagined through Boncoura's lens. Originally designed for painters, carpenters, and craftsmen, these pants were built for practicality and durability. While staying true to their workwear heritage, Boncoura has refined the silhouette and materials with a contemporary approach. The fabric is woven using Boncoura's original cotton denim, meticulously developed from the selection of raw cotton, fiber blend, and spinning techniques. Woven on Boncoura's special-spec vintage shuttle looms, it boasts a 15oz weight, giving it a rugged texture that contrasts with the lighter ounce vintage painter pants. This robust construction ensures a unique patina and character that will develop beautifully over time. For this black denim Boncoura has applied a rope-dyeing technique, setting it apart from conventional vintage black denim, which is typically dyed to the core. With traditional "piece-dyed" black denim, fading is minimal, but BONCOURA’s approach maintains a white core, allowing for a fading process similar to classic indigo denim. Over time, the fabric reveals a striking contrast, creating a distinct aged effect. Boncoura's exclusive dye formulation gives the fabric a rich, deep black with a nuanced depth that evolves beautifully with wear.

We also have a reinterpretation of the iconic 1950s type II American denim jacket. On vintage type II jackets, underarm gussets were typically found only on larger sizes. Inspired by this historical detail, Boncoura has incorporated it into all sizes of this jacket. The fabric is made from Boncoura’s proprietary "Ikemen" denim, the same as used in the 66 and XX jean models. The underside of the pocket flaps are lined with their original chambray fabric, allowing for a beautifully aged patina over time.

RICK OWENS SPRING/SUMMER COLLECTION

The Rick Owens spring/summer collection has landed at all stores this week.

We've got their one-size-fits all Walrus t-shirt in a washed Dark Dust jersey and Bauhaus shorts in washed Dark Dust cotton canvas, which is a real highlight for our summer fits. Out of the countless styles of shorts produced every season by Rick Owens the Bauhaus model is our personal favorite. Super functional, a great versatile fit, very comfortable, and built like a tank. This new version is made of a Dark Dust 100% cotton canvas and finished with heavy duty polished zippers and an elastic waist.

We've also received Vintage Sneaks in black cotton canvas, high-top Ramones in two colors of 13oz overdyed denim, and a pair of low-top Ramones in all black coated heavy denim which go very hard.

NEW ARRIVALS FROM PURE BLUE JAPAN

Leave it to Pure Blue Japan to create a beautiful new 100% heavy duck cloth fabric. These feel great, are super comfortable, and there's a good amount of depth in the fabric weave to keep them as interesting as your favorite jeans. Available now in olive and khaki in PBJ’s popular straight tapered fit.

We also have new PBJ flannels, made of a custom blend of multi-colored yarns, twisted together to create a very unique tweed-like appearance out of a soft flannel fabric. With the fabric matched cloth covered buttons being a very nice extra touch.

Lastly we've got a new fabric for those wanting PBJ's signature selvedge denim they're known for but in a lighter shade of indigo. These “Smoky Blue” jeans have a very unique shade and feel, even for Pure Blue Japan, which is saying a lot. We received these last year in a straight tapered fit and now also have them in a straight leg version.

This is a feature-rich line which requires some serious attention, as each season we're presented with a collection pushing the boundaries of textiles and patterns.

This season we see Poten doing their caps in a new gray heavy nylon, a black vintage hopsack fabric, and an adjustable cap in black denim . These hats are crazy nice, nicer than any other straight ahead baseball cap we've ever seen. ⠀⠀

Every cap style has a super soft and supple inner leather headband which has been lightly treated so it’s not destroyed by sweat. ⠀⠀

The caps have zero exterior branding except for the stitches which you can see from the top of the crown from the interior branding tags being sewn into the center of the crown. The cap has a medium height crown and the brim has a medium length to it with 19 concentric stitches which feel and look pretty cool in person. If you're into baseball caps, you'll love what Poten is doing. ⠀ ⠀⠀

FLAT HEAD SUPER DUPER HEAVY LOOPWHEELED T-SHIRTS & SUMMER COLLECTION

EXTREMELY HEAVY LOOPWHEELED T-SHIRT ALERT

Flat Head delivers the heaviest loopwheeled t-shirt we've ever seen coming in at 20oz. These tees look and feel amazing and are knit on vintage loopwheeling machines in Japan out of 100% long staple cotton and finished with their multi-stitched narrow collars. Available now at all stores in black and white.

Flat Head's Pioneer denim is back in a new heavier 18oz version in a newly designed FN-8004 wide/straight tapered fit with a high rise. This denim is developed for maximum fading pleasure.

FN-D110 left hand twill denim jeans are back. These are made of an in-house developed left hand twill denim made of a long staple Zimbabwe cotton clocking in at 14.5oz per square yard. These are unsanforized but have been lightly rinsed to make sizing easier, come in Flat Head’s new straight tapered fit, and come with a very cool bandana.

We also have new production runs of their popular 10oz indigo wabash shirts, sterling silver feather rings, and heavy duty socks.

RICK OWENS SUMMER DENIM COLLECTION

An all new denim and all new fit from the new Rick Owens collection is here. The Kurdt model is made of a an interesting 12oz black denim which has a sulfur dyed warp and reactive dyed weft for maximum fading character. This jean is Rick's' take on a classic 501 straight leg style jean with a medium rise; definitely a future classic.

One of our favorite pieces from the new Rick Owens collection are the washed outershirts. These can be worn as a denim jacket or as a shirt worn over just a t-shirt. They have heavy duty zippered inner pockets and outer snap buttoned chest pockets making them quite functional too. This new version is made of a heavily washed 13oz indigo denim for zero break-in period.

Rick Owens Made in Japan cropped outershirts are also here, made of a 12oz black/black Japanese selvedge denim. These things are fucking awesome; they come with Japanese made YKK hardware and come with two large inner zippered pockets.

We also have Walrus t-shirts, made of an in-house developed 100% cotton heavy jersey and come in a dark orange color in addition to the Dark Dust version we received last month.

GLOBE SPECS SUMMER EYEWEAR COLLECTION

The 2025 Globe Specs x Old Joe and Scye collections are here. These capsule collections were designed by Tetsuya Okada of Globe Specs with Yusuke Takagi of Old Joe working on the OJ models. These frames are fully handmade in Japan out of titanium, acetate, and nickel alloy and come with custom hard cases. These models are inspired by early 20th century eyewear designs and are extremely comfortable due to their light weight and well proportioned designs.

NEW SUGAR CANE JEANS & WHITESVILLE T-SHIRTS!

A huge delivery from Sugar Cane, Buzz Rickson, and Whitesville just landed at all stores.

Sugar Cane’s new bootcut jeans are here. These are words you probably weren’t expecting to read today. We used to carry bootcut jeans from Sugar Cane, Iron Heart, and Imperial from 2006 to 2009; but over the years most Japanese brands phased out these models as demand for slimmer and tapered (then wider) jeans erased any interest in bootcut silhouettes. Sugar Cane seems to be the first Japanese brand to revisit this style with a completely reworked fit and a new pure-indigo dyed 14oz denim developed in-house and based off bootcut jeans from the early 1970’s, while the fit is inspired by silhouettes closer to the late 1970’s. I guess if you’re selling jeans for nearly 20 years then you’ll see styles you never thought would come back actually come back, and here we are, bootcut jeans, we have them again.

Sugar Cane Fiction & Romance Work Pants are also here. These are made of an 8oz indigo stripe fabric, woven on a shuttle loom, and inspired by vintage narrow-width textiles originally used for traditional Japanese clothing. Initially it appears to be a simple indigo-and-natural stripe fabric, but upon closer inspection, small white areas can be seen within the indigo base. These subtle white sections are created using kasuri yarns, which are carefully resist-dyed to produce a two-tone effect within a single thread.

We've also received USN chambray shirts and 1942 wide chinos from Buzz Rickson, a full restock of 100% cotton Sugar Cane jeans, and just in time for summer, pocket tees in two colors and plain 2-pack tees in four colors from Whitesville.

THE SELF EDGE X SAMURAI X 3SIXTEEN SEXSX3S27 CAPSULE COLLECTION - THE REDLINERS

We've come together with Samurai and 3sixteen, two very well known denim brands we've been working with for a combined 25 years to bring you a capsule collection inspired by our love of Japanese cars. Samurai has had a legitimate racing team building exclusively vintage JDM (Japan Domestic Market) cars for nearly two decades and the crew behind 3sixteen & Self Edge used to build street racing Toyotas and Hondas years ago. We always wanted to do a collaboration involving two different denim focused brands and bringing Samurai together with 3sixteen felt like a natural fit.

All three entities worked on designing an all new Samurai denim from the ground up to create two jeans and a denim jacket which were made in Japan, along with a printed pocket t-shirt which was made in the USA with Japanese hardware accents. The denim is a 15oz Japanese selvedge denim with a natural and synthetic indigo dyed warp made of medium staple 100% Texas cotton fibers while the weft is made of a custom blend of natural un-bleached short staple cottons from Greece, Australia, and the USA. We went with a charcoal selvedge ID with a silver lamé thread, understated and very Samurai. The jean is finished with .950 sterling silver plated sakura buttons, Samurai original rivets, and ShoGyo-Mujo jacquard pocket bags, while the jacket is finished with original Samurai black snap buttons, an inner chest pocket, a heavyweight cowhide patch, a Samurai Motorclub tag, and a 100% cotton drawstring.

I got to check out this collection today and it’s amazing. For me, the stand out piece is the moto jacket and it ALMOST came home w me but I had my eye on a pair of Stevenson Overalls that I have wanted to try on forever. STUDIO D’ARTISAN AMAMI DOROZOME & SLUBBY GL3 JEANS

We've got a really special jean here as we see Studio D’Artisan pushing their production techniques to a new level, the Amami-Dorozome double-indigo mud dyed jeans. These jeans have been mud dyed over indigo denim by hand in Amami Oshima, Japan. Absolutely beautiful and once the mud-dyed “overdye” fades away you’ll be able to see the deep indigo denim underneath. These will look truly amazing after some wear as they patina and the indigo denim shows through the "overdye".

These GL3 SD-1001 (classic straight leg) and SD-1008 (relax tapered) models are Studio D'Artisan's newest jean made of their newly developed slubby 15oz denim. They nailed the feel and look of this denim, with the 15oz weight it's a heavy denim which can be worn year round. SDA truly nailed the perfect amount of slub yarn character for just the right about of slub pattern in the denim. This denim is unsanforized (but rinsed) and has some great character to it; it starts out a little darker than your average raw indigo jean so it's sure to look great once the patina forms as some areas start to lighten with regular wear.

FINE CREEK SHINKI HORSEHIDE RICHMONDS66 TYPE I JACKET

Fine Creek finally hits us with a fresh production run of their Type I jacket made of Shinki horsehide; we’ve been waiting what seems like years for this jacket to come back. These are made of a 1.5mm vegetable tanned, aniline finished, tea-core dyed Shinki horsehide leather and finished with a pigment dyed 100% cotton liner and vintage style steel buttons. These are not produced by a factory producing jackets for other brands, these are produced in Fine Creek’s own small workshop in Tokyo.
