@endo well that didn’t go as planned - I need to furnish the tailor with the wool liner, cuffs & hook! So some online research is warranted. A question for you- with your pocket liner is it below the snap? The tailor said that it was a difficult process to remove the snap

            Howdy friends!

I’m super stoked I was able to score a used one of these on the second-hand market. I want to give it a good clean, for obvious reasons. Anything I need to be mindful of, or straightforward machine wash? Never had anything blanket lined before….

Maybe not a good idea to machine washed whipcord fabric. Handwashing better idea i think. Take care about the wool fabric inside.
Congrats with this jacket. One of kind❤️

@Sir_Cuffs-a-Lot I think that is a safe bet, as the label was put in there for a reason, and not all our clothes have no dry clean labels on them, though a lot do, and some are printed no dry clean. I think a good dry cleaner should be able to give you better advice if you tell them about the fabrics and construction

The IHM-34 has become one of my favorite pieces. I’ve been trying to wear it hard when weather and work permits.

Last night I ran outside in small hail with haste to cover our cars with hail protection. My wife and neighbors peer pressured me into it. Anyway, this what it looked like after its first “hail soak”:

If for not having the budget at the time, I would-have (should-have) bought this in the black too. @Anesthetist, the one that got away. Big mistake, doubt the chance ‘ll come up again. This iteration of their M51 is so good. I got so much utility out of it last season with it being so easy to throw on an instant windscreen.

Can a second hand score get better than this?
I didn't think twice when I found it.

Yeah. I was looking at the coat like damn when this thread was revived a while ago. When I found It I pulled the trigger quick.
Seller said they bought it from IH a year or more ago. Not sure if it was in outlet then or something already? Anyway. Great condition XXXL. A bit roomy but I think thats how it's supposed to fit. The leather whateveryoucallthem on the drawstrings dont really hold the drawstring when pulled but thats easily sorted by the knot I made. And it fits fine even without using the drawstrings.

First post here, but I have DM’d a couple of you with questions and you all have been especially helpful trying to navigate some of the sizing issues. Thanks

I managed to find on of these on eBay and immediately pulled the BIN price and have had my fingers that the Large would work. It came in today and is perfect…if I could have a wee bit extra in the shoulder it would be even better but sizing up would be way too big if I went up to a XL. I can wear a Dehen cardigan underneath so I think I should be good for whatever the weather throws at me. This is an awesome jacket and in hardly worn condition. As a big fan a MASH growing up, this one just puts a smile on my face.
