I bought this one from ebay before I realized the stitching on the pleats were all picked out. Feckin' knucklehead who listed the vest didn't mention that. Fortunately, @JoshC agreed to sew new ones on. Thanks homie!

This vest was a little big on me so I looked up the IHSH-76 to see if anyone had managed to shrink theirs. To surprise, the forum folk mentioned the denim does i indeed shrink. So, I hot soaked, hot washed and hot dried them feck outta the damn thing. Fits much better now.

I saw a couple on ebay but only one in my size. The 17oz fades so well, there are killer examples on this thread and the 76 of course too.

@Oaktavia I’m sure there are. If I had infinite money. I’d have all the IH. Then I take my IHM-42 out for a spin and remind myself that I’ve got my denim dreams on my back. Maybe one day it will cross my path. Until then. I’ll live vicariously through you wear it hard for the rest of us

@Fadez Yeah man I totally get that sentiment. I should be able to wear this vest under an overshirt and over other shirts. Over and under! So I'll see how much wear I can put 'er thru.

Woah, I love this thing! Has the same design been made with sleeves? I normally find these type 1/2/3 hybrids a bit unsettling, but this just looks... right!

just seen the single picture you did , you have a 44 too. so now I’am a little afraid it might be too big as I know you are taller than me
and you did a lot of shrinking action too

@Daniel-San yes mine is 44 it shrunk a fair amount but I did not take measurements. I would say at least half a size shrink. It fits quite well now. I would definitely hot soak followed by hot wash, normal shrinking routine. You might be alright I would guess but you will know for sure upon arrival.

maybe that’s even the better way of wearing those vests. wear my 526 od vest over hoodies , works fantastic!
