Got caught in the rain, all the salt left on the roads from the snow ended up in my face. Woo

@WhiskeySandwich
sounds fun
-
Got out today, still too much salt, but too nice not to ride.

Ready for riding season! Freshly serviced, followed by HPi Exhaust and Power Vision tune. Anyone in here in Maryland, USA?

Yesterday a new trip set off to watch the motogp race at Termas de Rio Hondo (Argentina). First stop for coffee and the night at Samaipata.
My Guzzi is much louder, to my chagrin, than before due to exhaust pipe changes seeking a better torque curve. My earplugs are more indispensable than ever. Looking forward to a great trip. -
Big warm up coming tomorrow, can’t wait.

Stopped for lunch in Aiquile. Bit of intermittent, light rain today which slowed us down. So 2 Triumph Explorer, a Ducati Desert X and my Goose.
This dish (Khawi) is mostly cooked during Carnival; supposed to be good after excessive alcohol bouts.

Day three…it way intermittently drizzly for most of tMonday’s 500 km with temps around the 12 degC mark.
One of the group hit a speed bump while going too fast and bent the rear rim, and caused an air leak. Were lucky to get it bent back with a hydraulic press.The hotel we stayed at had no overnight parking lavailable for our motorcycles but negotiated with the next door drugstore for some floorspace.

Fourth day was sunny with temps between 8 and 16 degC; glorious biking weather.
My favorite geologic oddity enroute made an excellent backdrop for the bikes.
The curvy Cuesta de Lioan between Purmamarca and the chilean border at Susques is apure joy to ride!
A cigar added enjoyment at the end of a fantastic riding day. -
@motojobobo
The curvy Cuesta de Lioan looks like a fun to ride. Are you on a longer trip? -

Today was nice day to ride....
1970 Daytona 500
1074 Bonneville 750
I don't know anything about motorcycles and I'm not a rider, but these are the kind of bikes I'd like to ride if I was. These or maybe an old Norton Commando.

@Aetas sorry for the late reply buddy.
Yes, this is a longer trip circa 4000 km and 14 days. Endpoint for the trip is the motogp race being held at Termas de Rio Hondo in Argentina.
So that fantastic 40 km stretch of curvy road known as Cuesta de Lipan was an up and down afternoon ride. Highest point is 4170 mts.
Highly recommendable it anyone is thinking about it. Can’t compare it to other curvy roads in Europe as I’ve never ridden a bike there.
Also, I misspelled its name, it is Lipan, not Lioan. -
@motojobobo
14 days in the saddle … wow! -
Dropped a whole buncha money on my bike this past few weeks. Got a stage 1 tune from FuelMoto. Intake. Floorboards. Chopped engine guard. Mirrors. Grips. Chrome stuff. And a full chrome foot control kit. Chrome wheels next and then I’m chilling for a bit. But stage 1 really wakes these bikes up. Even with just intake and exhaust it’s a totally different bike now -
@Choko Looks great

Thanks @Denimhead-0. I can’t wait for this weather to get nice
