@olblue Thank you. It's really about time for leather care, but I'm going to try to get through the next 3 months without conditioning. I still have no idea what to use without losing the original color.

@matt_rost I tend to go with Venetian leather creams for my boots that I don’t want to darken. I’m not 100 % sure how to treat a shirt of this caliber but if I had it and was curious I’d treat a small portion of the inside of the garment as a test. Let it sit and see what it does. I’m curious if there’s a thread on this one

@matt_rost and on a side note I always look for the words “neutral” on leather care products, I use this one on all my horween leathers

@olblue Thanks for the tips. Reading your lines, I now know how I can proceed sensibly and that's why I remembered that I still have a supply of Red Wing Leather Cream floating around here. This product served me well last year on Pecos made of leather with a very similar surface texture and color, so I'll try it out on a hidden spot first. Venetian Shoe Cream is certainly a good option too, I think. I'll have to check availability in Germany, maybe a bit cheaper in the long term given my general consumption of leather care products.
As far as I've noticed, most owners of this shirt seem to just use Mustang Paste, or nothing at all. I will definitely take a different approach in a few months and then document the results here.

@denim-dawg Thank you so much, JB. You're a truly great motivator. Since this is my first competition, I'm curious to see how it will feel as someone who actually made it through a year. Until the start of RRY3, I only watched events like this from the stands. It definitely makes me want to do it again for another year.

Two more months folks, soon I’ll be back in the IH slub dawggy type 2, the mister freedom brown duck ranch blouse, as well as my personal favorite my 1980s Lee rider. Anyone else out there looking forward to the switch up. Gotta say though the flat head has been treating me right
