@endo really loved his work. Mississippi Burning, Unforgiven, Royal Tennenbaums, so many great performances. One bio I read about him said the he was always “believable” and that’s got to be the highest praise for an actor.

Probably my favorite Hackman film. Great story, atmosphere, acting, and score. It was nominated for Best Picture only to lose to Coppola’s other 1974 film Godfather II, with Chinatown, Lenny, and The Towering Inferno rounding out the nominees. What a year for film that was!

                  Think it, be it.

I had a 911 as my second car from 2015 till last year. Amazing car, but given the amount of traffic in the UK I didn't really use it enough in the last few years. Bikes are better in that regard.

@louisbosco you should count yourself lucky on the fine, a motorbike youtube channel I watch rode through Switzerland and a minor speeding indiscretion (20-30kmh over I think) cost them 4 grand. FOUR GRAND!!

I think almost every country needs to rethink speed limits as they are all based still on a antiquated car with drum brakes and no thought to to modern cars, speed doesn’t kill it’s the stopping or stupidity of the driver

@NickD possibly, although even in a car-crazy country like Germany the attitude towards a general speed limit has changed over the years

@AdamJ it is sometimes possible to make it to second gear! Still the soles of my office shoes always wear out faster on my clutch foot.

@NickD especially the ones who feel the need to perform an emergency stop whenever they see a speed camera 😠

@NickD yes. depending on the type of road and the amount you're over by. at some stage the fines are based of your income.

a3 to m25 junction gets on my nerves every time after leaving gosport. wonder if that shit show has been completed
