@GardenState i do love some 21ib. they're all great tho. I'll have to keep doing these, the lighting gets weird in some shots. This one was the 'night mode' long exposure thing and didn't fully capture the contrast. the 21ib is pretty dramatic compared to the others. I'd think the OD would be much less contrasty but similar colors.

Not sure if this is right place to ask, but anyone else noticing XHS jeans needing their first crotch repair earlier compared to lighter denims? I have two pairs and my 634's are developing a hole even thought they are barely broken in. ("barely" in context of xhs. been having them over 2years).

@Oaktavia good to know. My jeans will allways blowout in same place (other brands too). Maybe it's a habit and bodyshape/movement thing. I suspect that lack of stretch just does it faster with xhs. Not even complaining really, just observing. I have two hands and a sewing machine afterall

It's a body physiology thing, I have never managed to blow a crotch out in my life.

And the 25oz is thicker than the 21 than the 19 than the 18 etc etc , so if your are prone to blowouts, it will happen all the quicker in the thicker fabric because it it causes more friction.

Curious about the fraying around the hem. They never drag under my shoe. Would only rub against the back of my boot. I guess the heel stay is causing this fraying?

@Mizmazzle they do look awesome. I think it’s a by product of the heavier weight denim in general. My UHR’s have done the same thing. Lighter weights not as bad.

Thanks gents. Sean, I think you’re right about the heavies fraying easier. My XHSbb are fraying in the same area pretty bad too. I love these so much I want them to last as long as possible.

Side note: my 21oz ODs are well on their way to frayed AF as well.
