surprised you didnt like some of the other shows if you liked Dexter. Feel like i should have stopped watching that show around the john lithgow days.

Breaking Bad took a while for me to get into but it definitely paid off. I actually never watched Sopranos. Game of Thrones was a favorite of ours but the last season was meh. I feel like that’s actually a show that could have benefited from more seasons as the final season felt rushed. Haven’t watched House of Dragons.

@Matt House of Dragons was fine. I totally agree about the last season of GoT. What a bummer.

I hate Coldplay and think Kid A might be better than OK Computer, and In Rainbows was good.

Game of Thrones was good for a few seasons but I lost interest. And from what I heard about the final season I’m glad I did. The same thing happened reading the Wheel of Time series. I guess I’m not an epic fantasy guy even though I read a ton of it when I was younger and enjoyed the LotR trilogy.

Breaking Bad was a slow start and I can see how it could be a challenge to get into. But it’s also the best drama ever created in any video medium if you give it the attention it deserves.

UnpopOp 1: zombies, vampires, superheroes… played out. We need new, creative ideas on the silver screen.

UnpopOp 2: this oughta trigger the forum: the world also has enough doom metal bands with inscrutable logos

                    Think it, be it.

Same. If it ended there, it would have went down as the best show ever.

Kid A is the greatest album of all time. Accept that fact. That said, it’s not fair to base your opinion of subsequent albums on what they’re really capable of in Kid A. I like all their albums for what each brings to the table.

Now whatever this Coldplay nonsense I’ll let you guys figure out. I don’t know where to begin debating that.

I'm not sure what "wave" of britpop you would classify the early oughts but there was some objectively great pop music being made ie Travis, Doves etc.

I'm an exponentially bigger Radiohead fan than any of those bands but in their case the last remnants of "pop" was over by the bends imho

That first Doves record was a banger. I saw them with Elbow. There was some good music during that time.

I’d call it post britpop. So stuff like Bloc Party and Kasabian could be neo britpop.

@Matt I’ve tried listening to Kid A so many times and I can’t understand the appeal. I’ll try again, just for you. I really want to like it. I’ve been a lifelong fan of their first three albums, but the later work (with the exception of a few
songs from Rainbows) has never made sense to me. What do you love about it?

a lot of brit bands from that generation I've listened to growing up was sort of classified in that genre

the arctic monkeys, mystery jets, last shadow puppets, the kooks, two door cinema club..etc
