I want to give a huge shout out to Zach @seawolf
I’ve been wanting to take up a leather craft hobby for a while now. Zach has been the most supportive and helpful friend I could imagine. Dude has offered so much advice, been on call for answering questions and just been an all around legend in helping me get the ball rolling. Thanks a ton dude!! I’m having so much fun learning these new skills. It’s only my first little wallet, but I can’t stop looking at it and holding it. What an incredible feeling it is to create something.
-
@Mizmazzle Dude, you are beyond amazing and I'm happy to take you under my wing.
For anyone looking, this is his FIRST PROJECT. What?!
You are off to an exceptional start, my man.
-
Wow. Great stuff, kudos @Mizmazzle
Today, as most days, I’m wearing my ZeeBee saddle stitched belt.
-
@mclaincausey thanks man. Excited to see what I can learn to make.
-
@mclaincausey the OG ZeeBee belt! Damn, you've had that thing for a long time.
-
@Mizmazzle looks amazing man, you taking orders?
-
@Mizmazzle hell yeah man. Came out super clean.
-
@jerkules haha...I'm gonna field test this thing first, make sure it doesn't disintegrate after using it a few times. After that, anyone looking for cheap leather goods made on a steep learning curve feel free to hit me up haha.
Kind of like going to the local dental college for cheap dental work done by students!
Thanks @ZackB I learned a lot on that first go round that should make my next build that much cleaner!
-
@Mizmazzle Apprentice-level leather goods. A great place for some great deals!
-
@Mizmazzle One of the best parts about learning leathercraft is getting to make stuff for yourself to field test. You can make a new wallet every week and it'll only cost you a couple of bucks and a few hours of your time. It's fun and you get new gear whenever you feel like it.

@seawolf I had one close call where I left it at airport security years ago. Luckily was able to retrieve later from airport security. This was at the Minneapolis airport so at least a decade ago since it was before I moved.
It has zero signs of giving up the ghost anytime soon.
I decided to condition it today but will post an evo pic when it’s dry.
-
@mclaincausey I love this! Can't wait to see it.
-
One of my prized possessions. Thanks @seawolf and Iron Heart (for this buckle). Zach’s original buckle is an excellent brass roller buckle I use for more formal occasions.
-
@Mizmazzle the original post in this thread has it—it was a natural leather and you can see what it looked like when he made it. It has a very tight grain and is quite hefty. Definitely a terrific leather.
And you’re right about the stability. The materials and construction have kept the belt in amazing shape. I’ve worn it just about every day since I got it. Only exceptions are when I’m matching black boots or wearing lounge or technical stuff. This thing should be shaped like a rainbow after what it’s been through. Looks like it’s been around 12 years now.
-
@seawolf are you still making belts or are you just imparting sage advice these days?
-
@ZackB Btw, it trips me up every time I see your username, because I'm also Zach B.
Yeah, I'm still making belts on the rare occasion someone wants to buy one from me. I'm making one for @flannel-slut this summer. Hit me up if you're interested.
-
@mclaincausey Thanks for sharing! I love that this belt is your daily driver, and has been for TWELVE YEARS. Absolutely wonderful.

what color are the two lighter leathers in the middle? the one with bolts and the one without.
