@goosehd not before watching a local do it himself or carefully wading across ourselves to check it out. But it looks very doable. Water level appears to be at lower than maximum and the vehicle tracks show that it is a regularly used crossing.
These rocky river beds tend to be more straightforward than the sandy ones. -

If no local came through and showed Paula it was possible, that is what I wanted to do,. There is a road marked around the whole of the lake, so it must be easily doable.. But even had I done the wade-and-test, the "have you seen the size of the track on the other side, it's non-existent, it clearly is never used" vibes coming through loud and very clear, meant it was a 100% no go....Had I had someone responsible with me, she may have listened.....

Here are a few more pictures from Nepal. The last 4 weeks have been a wonderful experience here and the weather has been great. Tomorrow I fly to Chang Mai, Thailand and start the next leg of my trip.
