Watches - another OCD problem
-
Getting a GS that doesn’t have Spring Drive would bother me on some level. Good choice!
-
Their high beat movement is very nice also. You cannot go wrong with either Spring drive or the high beat. Accuracy wise Spring drive is in a class of each own.
-
Yeah I like all of the movements and respect them but if I had one GS it would need to be SD just because it’s so damn Seiko and so damn Japanese to optimize the escapement in such a clever way.

There was a watch show today here in Austin. A bunch of micro brands showing their stuff. Some of my favorite brands I saw were Vertex, Baltic, Raven, Lorier, Farer, Fears and Artefkt. I didn’t get a pic of Raven or Artefkt, but they’re both very cool watch designs, especially the Artefkt. I’ll add a stock image of both. The cool thing about the show, was the owners of the brands were at most of the booths. So I got to meet the people who designed and brought these watches to life! It was a free and very fun and simple event called Intersect. Images from the web

Rolex explorer with Good Art skull crusher bracelet, I never wear these stacked, just testing it out… under a freewheelers thermal and IHSH 240
-
@VoodooRay very nice Explorer. Today rocking my Breitling SuperOcean with IH slubby black shirt and 888 21oz.
-
@Neru-6 Cheers dude.. love the superocean as well, and it pairs up superbly with the 21oz denim and the slubby shirt there.
-
@VoodooRay Thanks bro ! I think at some point I will also buy an Explorer. This is the perfect "everyday" watch. So classy, I love it.
-
@Neru-6 highly recommended for an everyday watch or even an only watch, I have a few others that I hardly ever use.
-
Today is Junghans Meister Worldtimer, sample corduroy off-white shirt & 888 21oz.
-
@Giles just in case, I watched this video and I saw that. Timestamp 6:35. It was one month ago but it can be still there. Dunno if it can be interesting for you :
-
@Giles said in Watches - another OCD problem: Springdrive for the win, but the mechanical is more classic and a better size.
As you are in Japan now you have all the chances to check them out IRL.
-
@Giles Excellent choice. Well done. I like spring drives especially when the power reserve is on the back.
-
@VoodooRay Is this the 40 mm or 36 mm Explorer 1? Whichever size it suits you very well.
-
Wanted one of these for years, took the plunge and satisfied my more than one watch craving for good!
